A few friends and myself want to play a team game of poker (8 of us) But some are good players and some basically dont play. Does anyone know how we can play such a game, or better played a game. We plan to split good player with bad player so 4 teams (could do 2) But we are unsure how to share the game. Do we just swap player each hand or every 10 etc We dont want it to end up good vs good, bad vs bad, we kind of want it random.
Any ideas/thoughts welcome. (it will be a limit game)

Poker is not a team game. Maybe you could try HU SnGs. Each member of a team has to play all the players of the other teams. But don't try this with limit poker.

Nice idea, then member with the least wins get elimnated(or least amount of overall chips if tie), and we could time that so it doesnt go on forever and add up chips when time is up.

HU is nice but it is rather special type of the game. Why not just playing 1 table SNG sitting in the following position (for example) bad - good - bad - good so that good players won't have so big advatage 'cause they are playing with good players as well. Perhaps somebody could develop this idea.

If you make teams of 2 players. Its simple, play on 2 turneys in the same time(one player on the turney A, the 2nd on the turney B). Give for example 4 point for the 1st of each turney,3 points for the second... and add results

You can do it for online only. B1gfoot, are you going to play online or offline?

Yer its a bit strange, but hopefully fun, we will be playing offline. Its looking like we will use shokakus idea, should even the field out, but am still unsure if this will work at all. Might end up just using a tag team system, 5 tags for 30 hands or so, so weak player will play most hands but can tag in a good player.
