I think there's too many disadventages in requiring X amount of posts before it's possible to create a poll. (While I'm now in doubt as I think it already requires a certain amount, 20 or sometihng )
But 50-100 is way too much... maybe 1 poll a day is better.
Edit: It was set to "10 posts required", but I lowered that to 5 posts now. And maybe we should do something like "only 1 poll per 24 hour", that would be simple. And since a thread cannot be older than 24 hours for a poll to be added, you should never be in a situation where you would create a thread and cannot attach a poll within 24 hours.
