This has been known for a long time, many years ago I watched movies that were made just for these topics, match-fixing in the NBA league, although we have seen that this also exists in tennis, as several top tennis players admitted that they were offered money to lose a match. there are many footballers who bet that they will receive a yellow or red card, nothing new in the world of betting

maybe he will learn something, but I don't believe it, I've always wondered how it is that they have so much money, millions of transfers, and then you read that he bet to earn more, there were cases of Italian players who were caught betting on some amount of money that the same players earn that money in a month

very good work by the FBI who arrested Pham, accused of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, a federal crime, he was already on a flight to Australia, he lied that he was going to play poker, I think they eventually caught him.

He faces 20 years of prison {potentially) ?? That's crazy man , he didn't kill anyone !!
Those Americans have very strict laws , they imprison anyone . They have the largest percentage of imprisoned persons to total population in their country compared with all other countries . Almost 1/100 of Americans is in prison now . Lol . I guess in a lifetime period 1/10 of Americans will pay a visit to a prison cell . Lol . 1/5 of total prisoners in all over the world is in the US prison cells . That's sth to think about ....

in my country, every person does illegal work, companies avoid paying taxes, illegal trade has gained momentum, they say that over 30 percent have illegal economies, young people gamble, pyramid companies appear overnight, just a few days ago more than 15,000 people lost money the pyramidal online platform CONTI stopped working, people lost over a million euros and no one was detained or brought to court

we live in a very illegal and corrupt world. Big companies and politicians are very corrupt. People also want to cheat, steal, get easy money. The law is the law and it must be applied to everyone.

In the United States the laws are stricter and I believe that because it is a country that is always developing in different areas, many other countries must follow its example to have a competent and orderly nation in all areas.

The law in the United States is stricter than anywhere else, the sanctions are very drastic, now this player must assume responsibility and pay for what he has committed, so we must think twice before doing things.

He paid serious consequences, even now before the conclusion of the trial . He cannot play anymore , he is flagged as a bad actor from betting companies . He will have to pay a lot of money in damages . What he did was serious , but not so serious to send him 20 years in a prison cell lol

So many sports players , men and women , try to manipulate the outcome of a sport event for betting reasons , to win more money . They play differently , with less passion or many mistakes , let the no favourite to win opponent to take the game . That's a scam. But that is the way to win money nowadays .. Or they might use other ways , spread fake news , pretend sickness . Or use insight info or sell it to some people .

It's incredible how a promising NBA player of only 24 years old has fallen into such a scheme of illegal sports betting. As a consequence of such irresponsible act, in my opinion, he could still be accused of a criminal offense and he was banned for life from the NBA league.

people are not that smart and because of some mistakes or mess, they risk their entire beautiful career that they can have. It is not nice what happened , but the immaturity of this player destroyed his future.
