I use paypal for ebay items etc too. And as Delbo99 says, don't trust scam mails that appears to be from paypal, asking for details or says you should go to a specific URL and login to confirm something. If so, check that you are in fact on http://www.paypal.com or https://www.paypal.com domain, otherwise the domain might belong to a scammer that will steal your login.

Betfair as well but only certain countrys Netherlands not being one of them.
It's a shame as my PayPal account is linked to my bank account as I use them for acepting credit card payments from my websites so transactions are allmost instant
but not many
