four aces twice in three hands  0
Playing on mansion poker I get dealt 5 9 in the big blind. Everyone folds round and small blind calls. flop is A and two other cards. I've got nothing. no draw. nothing. check check. turn is another ace. check check. river doesn't change much and I figured neither of us had anything and considered bluffing. small blind bets minimum bet 0.50 so I fold. He shows me four of a kind aces. All he wins is the blinds.

Just two hands later I get dealt pocket AA on the button. There's about five callers so I raise to 3 dollars. two of them call. The flop is 9 high and there's about eleven dollars in the pot. Its checked to me and I go all in. I get called by a guy with pocket 9s. I couldn't believe it. Turn ace. river ace. Pot was just under thirty dollars. How can two hands with four aces play out any more differently?

Playing on Mansion I have seen that alot latley. Not always with Aces, but quads galore and many times same as 3333 or 8888 etc. Random!!! HMMM.

You mean first hand the guy with pocket rockets puts his money in while ahead. And in the second hand the player with the rockets put most of the money in while behind. Blink

Even if you were delt AA five times in a row you would still have the exact same chance of getting AA a sixth time in a new deal... Blink

Yeah that's true but the result was always going to be the same. I was extremely fortunate both hands. I've always said good luck in poker means your opponents have to catch a good hand as well as you catching a better one. I was lucky not to catch anything the first hand and very lucky when I got them.

@ davoodoo. yeah you're right. There was just as much chance of me getting aces that hand as the next but I thought it was interesting how these hands show that even with pocket rockets luck still makes a huge difference for the rest of the hand.

Lol! Yeah it is rare happening poker of aces in two hands so close! I congratulate you for the hand you won the big pot. Most of the times that kind of hands do not give much profit! I had 3 royal straight flushes and i never had a lot of profit with them :/

Had two hands in a row where I was dealt pocket aces, and in both cases all I got was the blinds. Just called and checked, no biters.
