River: ($1590.00) T (2 players) Hero bets $2039 all in ($1642 to him)
BTN is a 24/20 tag, unknown to me. SB is a huge fish. My stats are probably similar to BTN's.
What do you think about the river (as in this is standard, or this is too thin, or a better play is xxxx, etc)? Does your answer change if BTN is good vs average?

Not bad. You represent what you have. A missed flush draw.
Other option is to check/call on the river. But i like the shove better here. He has to call with weaker holdings. And there are a lot he might have checked behind.
You say BTN is TAG, so he would call your preflop raise with a reaonable hand. Pocketpair og suitedconnector. Do not think there are any AA, KK or AK since I guess he would reraised those hands preflop.
So you have TPTK on river and shove I would not call unless I also had TPTK. So when he has call all your bets so far he got to have something or have a missed draw. If he has something it coulde be a set or a straight (or two pair).
But I have to point out that I mostly play 10tabel and not shorthanded, so a shove coulde be the good on a shorthanded tabel.

Interetsing Hand!! Although the third barrell does appear standard. You would only be checking this spot to induce a bluff and you can't do that without history but on the other hand he can''t call you with weaker holdings on the river without history. Whats interesting about this hand though is with what cards he's floating you with. On the flop youw would have to imagine, that if he is holding trips or an over pair then he reraise because of the fish on the SB. Therefore for me the only holding he has is 89dd (don't even semi bluff huge fish) so maybe the shove on the river is edging on the thin side, but what you gonna do coz your gonna get shoved anyway.
I don't think good v average comes into it. This hand has been shaped by the SB coming along. Unless an average player is flatting you with with trips or overpairs on this board but sureley even average players don't do this. Good Luck at the tables.
