With all the Contervesty about Michael Shoemaker being the Stig over the last week or two it is a lie....why would a British TV progame pay a German when thay have British talant

Offcource he's not the real stig! I'n my opinion the stig is more than one driver. Schumacher was there becouse the ferrari they used for the laptime was his.

The first real stig grassed himself up in his auto biography, i forget his name, when Topgear found out the killed him, in that epesode when stig drives off the landing craft. But after him there has been a few I think as some tend to be bigger and smaller so id guess at some stage Schumacher was the stig. There is if you watch some old ones, a black stig and a white stig. oh and his cousin who some say he is illegal in 17 US states and he blinks vertically

The first Stig was Perry McCarthy
After a brief retirement, McCarthy returned to sports car racing, appearing at Le Mans in 2002 and numerous other events. In 2002, he released his autobiography entitled Flat Out, Flat Broke, in which he spoke candidly about his time in Formula One and his work for the BBC's Top Gear motoring show as The Stig, a masked, anonymous, racing driver who evaluated the latest high performance cars. McCarthy was the original, black-suited Stig of the first two series, who was "killed off" at the start of the 3rd series for revealing his identity
