Hello everyone
I recently played a hand where I feel a bit unsure whether my play was correct.
There a three players left and top three places get paid.
Player A has 4800 in his stack, Player B 12000 and I (Hero) has 13200 (The stacksizes are roughly as I remember them)
Player B has on a number of occasions reraised me all-in leaving me with the only possible to fold. Player A has gained more respect from me and I do not fear him and according to himself he even folded a JJ once.
Blinds are 300/600 I get AQ in BB. Player B raises up to 1400. Player A folds and I decide to use Player B's own medicin by going all-in. Unfortunately he calls and show TT which holds up. A couple of hands after I go out as third. (It was the first time doing the threeway showdown that I reraised all-in)
Considering Player A's low stack perhaps I should only have called Player B to see the flop or perhaps with a smaller reraise instead. What do you think?
Yes you analyze yourself correctly maybe you even should have fold in that spot but defenitely not go allin and a small reraise I dont like 2
------------ But call was correct! 2 fold after you had miss the flop I guess and leave you behind with a good stack But I think you tought aq in this situation is very strong but you should also consider your EV+ I dont know what is was in tha spot

How is the payout? 50%, 30%, 20% as usual? Then it is a no brainer all-in. Even the big stacks have only ~20BB. There is no more room to play poker. And 3handed AQ is a monster. You would not have wasted a second thought on this, if you would have won the flip.

Normally I would agree but there are 2 way ahead on the 3rd player so maybe you should want 2 play heads up rather than risk it on a flip

I think allin are always a gamble but with only 3 players left and you already in the payout allin are the best way to play if you have a good hand. but if u want to play patiently and are confident you can win against the opponents easily then u maybe should have called and then made ur move after flop.

50-30-20 as usual yes.
You say only 20 BB - Thats still just about in the green zone. I usually play solid poker until I hit the orange zone (6-10 BB). A threehanded AQ would never be a fold for me, especially because this Player B raised quite frequently.
I may went all-in with AQ knowing that Player A was short, but most players fold many hands in that position. So I think his call was might even worse than my all-in knowing the third player is shortstacked. Sure he knows he is probably favourite with TT, but most likely not by more than a coinflip. I played with the anticipation that he would think about the risk too. (I guess I misread him as a thinking player)
The expected value?
Well the winner of the coinflip would most likely take firstprize....
