1) how come the person who invests your money is called a "broker"? 2) how come the call what doctors do "practice" 3) why do you drive on a park way 4) why do you park on a drive way?

1) Since it´s your money, he remains broke. 2) They are too proud, and believe that practice makes perfect. 3) So you can park on a driveway. 4) So you can drive on a parkway.

What about when people say "I didn't do nothing" when they meen "I didn't do anything" the first version is a bit double i think and if I translate directly to danish it meens the opposite of what the person is trying to say.

M3, it´s funny, because in portuguese we use it the same way that the sentence is constructed in english, and also in portuguese it´s wrong. In both languages it´s more like "slang", street talk.
