Posted by B1gfoot: OT- flangel, can I use a vga splitter to set up 2 screens, last time i gave it a shoot i was told i need 2 graphics cards??
U don't need 2 graphic cards for that. If U have a port on ur PC that can connect a second screen then ur good to go Go to ur properties and check the 1/2 screen option With the right cables, like a splitter, U can set it up without in need of a second vid card Also U need to have the right video card / grahic card
this shud mainly be something like : DVI connection and VGA connection. (Dual) Or if u don't have two exits a VGA splitter shud be enuff OR assuming that the video connector available on your computer is a DVI connector. Video monitors, however, can come with a VGA connector, with a DVI connector or with both. Tell me what ur graphic card is and I can tell u exactly what to do Look at pic :

this threads really being hi-jacked lol. But since I'm computer nerd, I just say, any two monitors is fine. And you can convert VGA - DVI and DVI- VGA (normally the converter thing actually comes with graphics card). As Flangel said, just go to desktop properties and select 2nd monitor.
Also, you can generally configure lot's of cool s**t like keyboard shortcuts to send windows flying over to other screen, or able to "throw" them over with the mouse. And lots of things you can do with 2 screens and keyboard shortcuts.
