There is an idea to play an Omaha High Pot Limit Championship among mobsters, in form of Tourney + Heads Up where everyone will play against everyone till 2 winnings. No details yet. No room chosen... Just an idea.
If you would like to take a part - just let us know. I will make a list to know how many of us are here. Then we will decide how to organize it. Please, leave a message to show your interest in the competition and tell us your local time as well, please.
If you are not interested in what I suggest, please, dont spam the topic!

It depends on so many things, what site is it on, what time, how big buy-in and so on. But generally i would be interested.

I, for the first time in my life, tried Omaha the other night, drunk as f**k, at IPoker. I played a couple of DoN:s without actually being sure of the rules. And hey: I won all the ones I entered! (Two or three.)
I probably was just lucky, but maybe this is for me?

Wow! Bros, I see ther will be a lot of us there! Very nice. But if so we will need more weird system. For example we can play several MTTs, and then 10 best players will play Heads Up with each other.

Hardly. We've had a couple of BRM tourneys NL Holdem. A lot of people expressed their willingness to play. But in reality only few registered. If I remember it correctly: 13 and 7 entrants. I don't believe that you manage to attract a decent field for Omaha. Unless, of course, it is a freeroll with decent prize pool.

Don't count your chickens just yet. Last time we organised a tourney hardly any of the people who said they were interested turned up. You have to find a day that suits everyone and a room where everyone is able to play. Good luck with it though.
I myself don't play omaha unfortunately. I prefer to stick to nl hold'em as I know I can win that.
I haven't played much omaha but I would lake to participate in such a tournament. Of course considering that I'm not a highroller and the date and time should be right, so no promises but I'm positive about it. GL

I suggest the way to come over all troubles with time. For real: Let's do it like a big round of HUs. The model is the following:
1. We make a list of participants and a toutnament table. Each players prints his skype or other contact. 2. Players contact each other and play a match. Then they tell us the result in a corresponding thread. 3. Sooner or later we will have all the matches played and the table fulfilled.
We have used this model succesfully in Minsk Community of Poker. Why not trying it here?
Or do you really believe I will fail with the idea?

Unfortunately private contact details are not allowed, although I believe you may get round that through twitter (I know members who follow brm twitter can contact each other even though I do not use twitter myself). It sounds like a good idea though.
If you can organise several heads up tourneys then each pairing could sort out their own time. You'd have to draw everyone involved into slots like a tennis tournament. You could then increase the buy-in each round as they could use the winnings from the last round. Although you would then have to pay more fee in the longterm and what if people pull out half way through?

The good thing with this heads-up thing is, that the whole tournament doesn't have to be played on the same site, and that makes it more possible to happen.
