Hello there chaps and chappesses!! Ive been thinking about starting a blog for a while now but haven't really had the time. Well i now have a nice long summer of nothing-ness...sounds like time to build a roll!!
Admittedly i am not starting with $0.00 dollars ( around 16ish ), but i will be, from the very start, applying strict br management. It may seem a bit smallball and a bit conservative but the aim of this game is to enhance my br management, whilst becoming a tonne more patient and hopefully developing new skills along the way. It'd be great if some of you guys could chip in some advice and or thoughts here and there I will post interesting hands if i remember to get screenshots
Pokerstars light blog - Bankroll control lesson. Rules.
1. Never play in an mtt that costs more than 1/50th of br 2. Drop mtt stakes if roll hits <= 50 BI 3. Never, EVER play cash games, and or different variations (plo,plo8 etc) 4. If no cashes 3 times in a row stop playing for the day and read.
What a bloody lovely start.... played very tight and picked up a few beauties along the way. One that sticks in my mind was AKs which i limped multi way from late. Knowing i had position on everybody made me play the hand the way i did, as at these micros people are calling with any two suited cards and i didnt fancy a flip for my stack. Anyways, flopped top p top k and nut fd. Min bet from 1st pos 3 folds and a call, i also call for a bit of deception. Turn brings the ever so lovely Q which completes my nuts. Check from 1st pos, 2x from 2nd, i smooth call, 1st pos reships, 2nd snaps and i re-reship. Called down by Kjo and the guy in 1st pos had 76 for bottom pair...
Sick hand i lost and almost busted with, 99 in the bb, ultra hypo sb raises to 4x...i consider jamming my 9's but there are too many double paints he is calling with and again dont wanna flip. Flop 4 9 J, he snap ships i snap call...hes only bloody picked up JJ. Bleh, down to 800chips with 13 people left andf 7 cash. Came back to scoop 2nd! ding bloody ding
what happened to that total of $25 i handed to you the other day? is this whats left of it, so do i get 10% of all winnings m8 only joking congrats on the result, keep it up and build that roll, and keep us updated on you get on in future games, hope to see you on one of my tables some day soon

GL with your project, I'm trying to build a roll with the 10c 360 seater at the moment so maybe I'll see you on the 25c tables when I've won some more.

Starting bankroll $16.97 - Max buyin 34c
1. 25c 45man sng mtt. Result = 2nd for $2.22 Comments: gg!
New bankroll $18.94 - Max buyin 38c
2. 25c 45man sng mtt. Result = 16th Comments: Hmmm tough spot in the bb led to my demise, a9hearts vs sb min raise with kqo on an A Qh 6 2h K board - Went in on the turn left me with ~3bbs
New bankroll $18.69 - Max buyin 37c
3. 25c 45man sng mtt. Result = 33rd Comments: Awful play with KQ vs QQ preflop...wtf was that.
New bankroll $18.44 - Max buyin 37c
4. 25c 45man sng mtt. Result = 34th Comments: Standard four bet pre with two red aces ( my fave aces ) called by TT and got outflopped. whiffed turn river. sigh.
New bankroll $18.19 - Max buyin 36c
Well thats me for the day! Disappointing after the great start. Played the KQ awfuly pre flop in the 3rd mtt. The other 2 were a mixture of cold decks and positional play so can't really complain. Bit sick about the AA wouldve put me 1st. Time to put some time into harringtons workbook, never ever quite finished that sucker.

Are you really single tabling them or am I mistaken? (seeing you only posted about one tourney in 1st post). If so I'd suggest you to start a little higher, bringing such a micro bankroll up by single tabling will take you aaaaaaages (because, trust me,you won't be able to maintain that 100%+ ROI ).
And if you can beat the $0.25's,you will also beat the $1's

Yep, single tabling them. I have pleeeeenty of time to kill and its the start of a system i want to play. right from the very bottom up. i can and have multi tabled > 9 tables, 3 rows, 3 columns. But this is merely an experiment. i have rolls on other sites that i can play for bigger BI mtt's and or cash etc. Tis just an experiment or a test of my patience....depending on which way you look at it
