Graphics & Sound
IGT is presenting the MONOPOLY Here and Now™ with a great effort put on the design. The Monopoly concept is well-represented in every part of the game. Surprisingly, the Monopoly theme is very suitable as a slot machine. The sound is great as well and the sound effects add to the Monopoly feeling. The overall impression of MONOPOLY Here and Now™ is strong. The graphics and sound is 100% in consistency with the Monopoly theme.
Game Symbols
All symbols in this game are themed related. Even the card deck symbols have the board game tokens on them which help to set the Monopoly feel on the reels. There are also Property, Utilities and Airport symbols.
The wild symbol will substitute for all other symbols on winning lines except for the bonus trigger and the free parking symbol. The wild has the Monopoly character and the text WILD on it.
The board bonus symbol will trigger the Board Bonus if 3 appear on any active pay line.
There are also the Deed symbols that will give you a property upgrade if you hit 3 of them on active pay lines. You can follow this on the Board Bonus in the top right corner of the game window. You will be able to work your way up from 1 apartment to 4 apartments, then the final step is 1 hotel. Just like the original board game.
Gamble Feature
Once you hit a spin win, you will be able to gamble your winnings by clicking on the Gamble button next to the Spin button. You will then be taken to a new game window where your aim is to predict the colour of the next card to drawn. If you’re successful you can either continue to gamble or collect your winnings and return to the reels. If your prediction fails, you’re taken back to the reels.
Bonus Feature
When 3 Board Bonus symbols appear on an active payline, you have triggered the Board Bonus feature. You have to pick one of the 3 Board Bonus symbols to reveal your prize. Once you have determined how many rolls you are have won, you will be taken to the Board game.
At the board you will roll the dices and your board token will move and land on a street, just like in the original game:
Free Parking Jackpot - Landing on Free Parking in the Board Bonus gives you the chance to win one of the Free Parking Bonus jackpots. Spin the wheel to determine which colour car moves forward towards its meter. The first car to move forward three times and reach its meter earns you the corresponding jackpot.
Landing on GO - If you land on GO you earn one extra roll.
Go To Jail - If you land on Go To Jail or receive a Go To Jail card from Community Chest, you go directly to Jail without passing GO. If you land in Jail on your last roll of the dice, the bonus ends. If you land in Jail with dice rolls remaining, you have up to three chances to roll doubles in order to escape, depending upon how many total rolls you have left.
Landing on Chance or Community Chest - If you land on Chance or Community Chest, a corresponding card is randomly drawn. A given card can move your game piece, or reward you with an extra roll or additional credits.
Betting Options
MONOPOLY Here and Now™ has 5 reels and 20 pay lines for you to bet on. You can easily configure how many lines and how much to bet by using the + and – button in the lower part of the window. You can bet between 1 and 5 casino credits per line.
There is no auto spin function in this game.
