Cryptologic merge with Boss Media

Tags: boss media, cryptologic.
Posted on 14 November 2008 by "K".

The cryptologic network hasn't been doing that well for quite some time because many poker sites have left the network and taken many valuable customers with them...

Now Cryptologic hope to turn around this negative trend as they have signed a 5 year contract with Boss Media.
This means that all the poker sites that are on Cryprologic today will be transferred to Boss Media's International Poker Network.

Company History:

CryptoLogic was founded 1995 and was one of the first networks to offer real money casino games. They launched their poker software 2002 and has since then won awards for the "best casino software", "best call centre under 50 seats" and for the "Recipient of the UK Gambling iGaming Software Provider of the Year award for 2006".

Boss Media was founded 1996 by Joel Wikell in Växjö, Sweden. The poker network was established 2002 and has since 2005 been a well established poker network with many big clients.

We will see how this goes. Boss Media had its own problems with the trillion poker room. But there seems to be little choice for cryptologic.

I think this might be a decent merge, I mean things have got to improve for boss media now, for sure?

Maybe cryptologic will remove house bots from their tables now.

I too think this will be a good merge, cryptologic on is own was pretty poor but things appear to be looking up for boss media

These are bots that poker room is using to fill empty tables and SNG tournaments. That T&C i liked to quote where this is mentioned was from cryptologic site.

If i remember correctly, all bots had BOT######## nicks. They were pretty loose bots and one could hardly say they were easy to beat, especially when you earn some money of them they would start calling and winning with such crap that it was IMO too obvious they knew how hand would end. I liked their loyalty bonuses but playing against some bot calling 5x or 10x BB with 5-3off, 8-2s, is not much of experience when you hit your set of aces and to be beaten by straight or something similar. So i just quit playing. OH and their casino, its definitely rigged, nothing big but enough to make you deposit again. They played that trick on me once, second time i took them when i stopped playing half way through monthly bonus. Big Smile

good info. Didn't knew nothing about that, but a bit sad what happened to crypto, lets hope that now the two companies do a great job Blink

Boss media is another story, in 3 tournaments i have myself chopped some 15 pots on pockets that were not 1st group only and saw at least 2x other chops. When I asked them for RNG certificate they pointed me to T&C. I just thanked them.
