Vadim Trincher took home the tournament and received $731 079 after that he defeated Amnon Filippi heads-up. Amnon Filippi had a great chance to become WPT Player of the year if he would have won this tournament. But instead, Vadim Trincher took home his first WPT title.
This years final table was a bit different from earlier final tables in WPT Foxwoods Poker Classic. Usually the final table is played when only 6 players remains. But Vadim Trincher knocked out two players in the same hand, this left only 5 players for the final table.

Vadim Trincher had a big lead thanks to the hand where he knocked out 2 players. But with a player like Amnon Filippi closely behind there was no time just to sit back and relax. These 2 players continued playing great poker and soon they were the last men standing. Ones they were playing heads-up, Trincher got a big lead with 5.8 million chips against Filippi's 2 million chips.

Trincher ask the dealer to count to see how much he need to put in to call Filippi's all-in. The dealer says that Trincher needs to put in another 1 million chips. Trincher thinks for a moment and then decides to call with his flush draw.

The dealer slowly puts out the river card which is a K and Vadim Trincher takes home the pot with a flush versus Amnon Filippi's 2 pairs.
