Poker Player accused of murdering his wife

Posted on 09 April 2010 by "T".

A Broward County man was arrested the other day on suspicion of killing his wife. The arrested man and his wife were well-known in South Florida poker circles as they used to play a lot at the Pompano Beach Casino and also because their son runs a poker league that hosts games at bars all over South Florida.

Robert Oulton (right) was arrested on Wednesday this week in the fatal beating of his wife Yvonne Oulton (left). Mr. Oulton tried to create an alibi by entering a poker tournament at Isle Casino and Racing on Sunday night, the night Yvonne was killed. Then he asked his son to help him look for his wife and eventually they found her lifeless body. Police have surveillance videos connecting Mr. Outlon to the homicide. His son also confirmed to authorities that his father indicated he was responsible for his mother's death. "I turned evil; I woke up and remember everything,", Mr.Oulton told his son, according to the affidavit.

that is very bad news, to beat your wife is already bad, killing her is evil insane.
I hope he will get alot years behind bars. He must be locked away for good.

I'm pretty sure the son misheard the comment. It wasn't "I turned evil" but rather something like "the turn was evil and your mom chasing the flush cracked my trip aces, so a bad beat, you know what I had to do"

Hello everybody!
I do not really see what the poker have in this story. He just wanted to use it as an alibi. But this is not the motive.
See you soon for new posts lol!

Its a sad story. Well known, running a poker circle, and then becoming associated with a murder. If its true, this old man just ended his wife's life and ruined his son's too, because his business will always be associated with this...

Its America - people can bail themselves out when the y have Dollar enough. So if he was profitable player its not a problem for him to pay off few mills.

But yea - every 3-4th article, about some criminal, could be like thisone here, as most people nowdays play poker Confused

he must be really sick to do such a stupid act.
trying to use poker as alibi, dont think he should be allowed again in any of casino anywhere in world.

Poker really gets you pissed off sometimes. Just lost 150$ and broke my 350 $ laptop Smile). Its realy hard to control yoursefl when you lose. I can bet that many poker players destroyed their computers when they lost a important amount of their bankroll and have to go down blinds.

Besides the fact that their family had poker associations, I think this was submitted by someone desperately wanting some BRM points.
