It's not only in Europe and America that major poker tournaments take place. Last week, the 2011 PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau kicked off and of course the main event was the highlight. Yesterday, after several days of play, 15 players remained and continued the fight towards the main event final table. And guess what? The final table ended up being played the very same day and also a winner was crowned, Randy Lew.
Lew made it to the final table with the shortest stack (750,000), but somehow he managed to double up a few times and quickly took the command. After a few hours of play, Lew and Jimmy Pan were playing heads-up. On the final hand, Lew and Pan got all of the money in on the Q108 flop. Lew held Q10 and Pan KQ. The turn and the river (5 & J) didn't help Jimmy Pan and he finished 2nd for HKD$2,367,000. The winner, Randy Lew, received HKD$3,772,000 (about €363k) for his amazing achievement.
