Alexander Kuzmin entered the final table as chip leader, but many pointed to Allen Carter (second largest stack and the chance to be the first player ever to win the very same WPT Tournament twice) as the favorite to take down the tournament. Carter played fantastic poker on the final table and was massive chip leader with just a few players left. But then he doubled up Force, who also had a big stack, and started getting unlucky in several hands.
It didn't take long before Carter was short stacked and also very frustrated as he started complaining and whining about Leif Force playing bad and that he should "buy a lotto ticket". Allen Carter finished in 3rd place and left were Kuzmin and Leif Force to play heads-up - Kuzmin with a 2-1 chip advantage. Kuzmin remained in the lead and it didn't take all that long before all the chips were on his side of the table. Kuzmin received nothing less than $601,469 for the win - the biggest win in his entire poker career.
