The world's most expensive poker set

Tags: Geoffrey Parker, worlds most expensive poker set.
Posted on 12 May 2011 by "T".

If you love poker and have a few extra millions in the bank account that you want to spend on luxurious stuff, then Geoffrey Parker, a London-based maker of the finest games, has something for you! They have created a poker set that costs 7.5 million dollars to buy. The set includes 384 chips in 18-karat white gold, all done in stingray skin on both sides.

The edge of each chip comes festooned with precious stones, with white diamonds for the white chips, sapphires for the blue, rubies for the red, emeralds for the green and black diamonds for the black. The set has about 22,364 stones in all, totaling 1,012 carats. Part from that you get 4 platinum-plated decks of poker cards. However, ever if you can afford this poker set, you can expect to wait six to nine months for it to be delivered.

Hmmm, 6 to 9 month delivery time - shit.
I planned to buy it as a christmas gift for my wife, but if they cannot assure me that it will be delivered in time, I have to think about an other present. Cool

I can see my drunk friends throwing this chips away to the table like if they were crap, in a way to show they dont care about the amount of chips they are puting in the game, and watching them falling on the ground, with the little stones separating from them and being spread on the flour. And, in the end, one of my friends would be very nice to win the €20 first prize from the game Smile Unfortunately, 350 chips aren't enough to 8 players game, so i think i will pass this one!

Ah, I see - I already had this suspicion that it was you who took the last one away from their stock.
Just right before I had the chance to pick it up Aww crap! Evil Aww crap!

Those must be really heavy chips ... now you can exercise and play poker at the same time !
 Macubaas12/05/2011 16:42:06 GMT
Now thats sick! Still imagine that one of those chips fall of the table i bet all the precious diamonds encrusted will fall apart. Of course this is a beauty poker set, no one who will buy one will ever use it for sure, there are a lot of rich people in the world of course but i think almost 8 millions dollars just for a poker set is a lot for them too. Still i think the buyers of this exclusive poker set will be top casions all over the world, in Las Vegas or even Macau. I think Aria in Las Vegas should take a set too and expose it in the Ivey Room at the top floor of the casino, that would be really cool.
Other possible buyers are of course people from the wealthy arab worlds.

Да,нужно сначала надеть перчатки,а уже потом брать такие фишки в свои руки!!!

Yes, it is necessary to put on at first gloves, and already then to take such counters in hand!!!

It is a pity, but I don't know English language, to have to communicate at a forum by means of the translator of texts!!!!

Woot, it would be sick to spend 8 millions for poker set :o. I think only casinos could do that, I mean even if you have 1 billion why would you have such a set Big Smile I would like to buy something also great, but way cheaper and save rest of money for something worth it Smile I know that rich people are buying a lot of things just to have them, but that would be just sick Smile

We might. It'll probably cost around 950,000,000 MobPoints (we'll need to make a profit on them as well) Smile

who brought in casino royal?
 SuperNoob13/05/2011 14:15:50 GMT
i most likely would never have that much amount in my bank account and even if i had i would never spend it on a poker chip set when theres so many other better things money could buy.
 xxxYUMIxxx14/05/2011 08:26:58 GMT
I doubt anyone's gonna do any chip tricks with this set!
 mahdrof14/05/2011 18:50:13 GMT
What a crazy amount of money to spend on a poker set. What is even crazier is that for some people this isn't actually THAT big of an amount. I think for now I'll content myself with my $20 set made in China! Big Smile
 djpremier14/05/2011 22:11:48 GMT
Im gonna buy this after 100years of succesful poker playing ..
 scaramoes15/05/2011 10:11:04 GMT

If I could afford such foolish items, I would rather spend the money to help the needy, but that's me. I really would like to spend the $$ investing in a cpoker site that Americans could start playing on again. I know theer are a few places U.S. citizens can get in, but I don't think they'll hold up. Eventually they'll get hit by the U.S. Gov. to. Still whinning! Good Luck to All!
 molcos16/05/2011 18:55:50 GMT
id be really impressed if the chips prices were exactly how much the amount said on them seeing the changing in value of jewels etc on the world market Smile
