Canada's first ever WSOP Circuit Main Event (The River Rock Main Event) is now in the history books. John Crncic, a poker amateur from Vancouver who won his seat through a $180 satellite, ended up taking home the whole thing for $286,382, a WSOP circuit gold ring, and a free seat in the $1 million National Championship. Apart from those amazing prizes, Crncic's boss promised him to pay the buy-in to the 2013 WSOP Main event if he won. Crncic assured the WSOP that his boss was a man of his word.

"I'm afraid I'm going to wake up and it's going to just be a dream," Crncic told the WSOP following his win. "It's absolutely fantastic. This is much more than I hoped for."

He was 4th when the final table started. My persecution for the value of the mid rank keeps going on, I keep defending that this is the best place to be in a rank, because the leaders will feel more pressure for having to try to keep there and the tail finalists will feel the pressure for almost being out of the tourney, so in the middle the pressure is lower and the focus on the good poker is easier and then, the ability, the strategy and the cards do the rest. And he was from Vancouver, with four guys from there in the final table it would be hard if the first prize would end up in another town.

I agree with Fakiry, mid rank is the most strongest

The Big stacks put pressure on anyone they consider to be behind in their BB:Ratio and bullying them whilst also in the process being a lot looser with them too, resulting in some cross fire calls from the mid ranks on occasion

thats the dream of every poker player I guess. To win "lifechanging" money with no or minimum deposit Smile I never ever made a deposit. I won around 80euros in freerolls (in 3-4 mounts), but I will not spend it for playing I will withdraw it probably.. Smile

not quite as good as that russian who won over a million from 100 fpp satellite if i recall right...but still amazing roi if you ask me. well pointed out by weenie- most poker players dream about such wins: "low investment to huge end result", well that's why lotteries are still so popular huh Big Smile

Great results. But pochui - not only poker players dream about high wins, big cash, luxury, etc. Most of people want to be fame, be on red carpet, with interviews, shows Smile

Hi guy's, I would like to say when Toronto,Canada get's it's proposed 3-5 billion dollar casino I will be playing in these types of live circuit tournament's, I am an even better live player than online, its got to the point where people wont even bother playing me, so I hope I can move this live skill in to the proposed casino here in toronto, when built, probly by 2016 or so. I am primarily a MTT player, but will be playing cash games also to improve on my weaknesses, so when the casino open's it's doors to rookies and tourist ill be waiting for them ready to rinse them dry Big Smile

This looks like a dream and who would not like to be in the place :

winning big first place versus pro's and qualify with a satelite torney.

It keeps the dream alive and also is a good advertising for the poker sites : We all have chances to win the jackpot (but very small chances)
