2,724 players entered TCOOP Event #19 yesterday, which created a total prize pool of $574,219.20 - nearly double the guarantee of $300,000. The event was played in Hyper Turbo mode and it took just about an hour until 306 players were left (all guaranteed to get away with double the buy-in). Then it only took another hour until 7 players came away with five figures each.

The winner Alberto Ka received $90,728.44 - more than many people make in 1-2 years - and he did it in just about 2 hours. Over 30 PokerStars sponsored players took part in the tournament and 5 of them reached the money. Matthias De Muelder was the last of them to get knocked out. De Muelder's AHeart8Diamond fell to QClubTDiamond to go out in 40th place.

I don’t know any investor that could ever multiply the amount invested by 400 in two hours! This field was reduced to nothing really fast, were they playing too bad or was this that difficult that no one could handle the pressure of the Brazilian? Congrats to Alberto Ka, the new hyper turbo winner!

that's is exactly what makes these hyper turbo's so sweet- small investment of time, when you watch regular speed major tourneys, they take 8-12 hours to finish and in the end you see as many bad beats as in the hyper turbo ones, you just don't have to wait for so long throwing hands away until you find something decent to play with (an end up busted out)
