On Sunday, Daniel Negreanu started a mission to raise $100,000 in seven days to help The Children of St. Jude. Daniel promised to match every donation received (up to $50,000 total) and invite 4 persons who donated at least $2,500 to dinner with him in Las Vegas, followed by a poker lesson/fun evening at his house.
As of today, more than $160,000 has been raised. A large chunk of the amount was donated by poker pros Maria Ho, Kata Scott, Phil Ivey, Dan Shak and Brian Hastings. Click here and/or check out the video below to learn more about St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and how you can help.
Daniel is being very kind in doing this, i bet he will end up giving a big contribution to the institution, besides the match he will be doing to all the other donations. Besides heping the others, attitudes like this also helps him feeling better with himslef and the kind of person he is and he wants others to look at him.
