PokerStars Road To 100 Billion: RichB17 Won The 95 Billionth Hand

In case you missed it: Last Tuesday PokerStars began the countdown to its 95 billionth hand (Road To 100 Billion Promotion) with $1,000,000 is cash to play for. On Monday, hand ninety-five billion was dealt on a $0.08/$0.16 No-Limit Hold'em table and action froze while PokerStars set up the hand. One of 9 players would take home the Mega Milestone payout, the rest would get a minimum of $10,000 each! But before the milestone hand was dealt... things turned into high drama

Player got disconnected
Just about the same time as Lee Jones (Head of Home Games) had appeared to congratulate the players and explain what was going to happen, "MenFedlak" from Hungary was disconnected. PokerStars called MenFedlak and he was back at the table within a few minutes. But it didn't take long before his connection went again. PokerStars gave him a 30-minute window to connect to the Internet, but apparently it wasn't enough for him to reconnect and, aside from him, all players went all in.

It looked for some time like "Domy07" had taken it all as the side pots were played out. But the last player to show his hand, "RichB17", had made a runner-runner straight with 4HeartJClub and ended up taking down the hand for $23,920!

RichB17: $23,920
pacheko23980: $14,800
yanno: $13,070
soya_aware: $12,400
SAURO1980: $12,240
popp00: $12,000
Dummkobb: $11,700
Domy07: $11,660
MenFedlak: $10,240

Mega Milestone forumla:
* Dealt into Mega Milestone: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands x $1,000) + $10,000 = $'s won

* Win Mega Milestone: (# of VPPs in last 50 hands x $1,000 + $10,000) x 2 = $'s won

I saw this announcement yesterday when I logged in PS, but I haven’t had the chance to view the hand. MenFedlak must have suffered a bit with his disconnection problem, right in the middle of a Milestone Hand, how improbable can that be? He will never know if he could have won more, but he must be happy in the same for having won $10k although disconnected. That should he been even fun, to see is face looking at his cashier when he finally made to log in again!

that a nice win.....with a slow internet connection like mine..there is always a big chances that you will get disconnected during a very important hands....

I actually watched that hand on Pokerstars.. The hand was delayed for such a long time because of the disconnection.it was nice to see that he did get paid his initial $10,000

Fair play to Richb17 and all the other guys at the table and also to Pokerstars, it's because of promotions like this that they are the dominant force in online poker.

I was a little slow figuring out what to do to get in on the action for ANY of the payouts for the Road to a Billion thing. It wasn't until right near the end of the event that I clued in it's CASH tables you had to play to win at least SOMETHING,...even if it wasn't the BIG one...

...even winning one of the lesser prizes would be very nice...!

Next time I'll know better.... Confused

What I some many times and what I don't understand, is that are quite some players who were on a table with a milestone hand and did not know what to do. They did not even go all-in. That is sooo much a waste of opportunity. I mean, even if you dont know, and you see everyone happy and go all in preflop, so got to understand that you need to go all in know.

And how could they not be aware of that promo at all???

Mysik86 you can say WELCOME TO JOKERSTARS RIVER but nah is the same thing... why they don't let that RNG run right ? they really need RAKE RAKE RAKE.. over than $ 1.000.000 daily...
