Another action-packed day of poker has come to an end at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. 223 players entered Day 1B of the WPT World Championship and 138 remained at several hours of play. Jason Koon (US pro with $2.5m in live tournament earnings) bagged up 252,800 in chips at the end of play, which makes him the overall chip leader heading into Day 2.

Among the remaining 200 players returning for Day 2 are notables such as Noah Schwartz, Ryan Riess, Shawn Cunix, Eugene Katchalov, Guillaume Darcourt, Amanda Musumeci, Kara Scott, Dan Smith, Kyle Julius, Raj Vohra, James Calderaro, Isaac Baron, and Mike Matusow.

A total of 328 players have entered the 2014 WPT World Championship, but, unfortunately, the official prize pool is yet to be announced (hopefully sometime today). You'll find another update from Borgata Casino's poker room here tomorrow tomorrow morning.

There are quite a few familiar names left in this Tournament and it will be interesting to see the outcome. There seemed to be a lot more entries on day 2 so good luck to all those left in

Yeah just one familiar face for me, but chip leaders are cursed if you are chip leader then you are sure to lose out. I don't remember much chip leaders who gone on to win the tilte. Anyway we already 1/4 of the season now and poker is going strong with lots of fun tourney that you can watch!

Staying interesting, some big names still in the mix.
How many days left until this finishes?

@Heskor
Being a chipleader at 200 players with tripple the tournament average chips still doesn´t make your chances of winning that much higher.
