Pokerstars' $9m Anniversary Sunday Million kicked off last Sunday and went on for 15 hours before the field of 50,432 had turned into 1 remaining player. The winner was BRAYDEN93, located in Mexico, and he left the table with no less than $597,720. The first prize was initially said to be +$1 million but due to a deal that was agreed on between the players it turned out that the second place paid out more than the first place.
The last hand was raised on the button by kelly_koulis but the flop turned out in BRAYDEN93 favour who hit a two pair of 8 and 9's against kelly_koulis pair of Jacks. The turn revealed a 2 of diamonds and the river a 4 of the same suit. BRAYDEN93's two pair earned him the first place. kelly_koulis from Greece qualified to the Sunday Million through a $11 satellite.

It looks like kelly_koulis made a good deal in this game.Playing the same game for 15 hours is one hell of a grind, especially if you had to play overnight and into the next day but then having the chance to win half a million would definitely put a spring in my step.
I just feel sorry for the bubble boy in this one!

I dont think he made a good deal, because right after the deal he got chips more than evryone else combined (almoust). And he keep chip lead till heads up and he enterd heads up in high advantage 3:1 or 4:1.... Not to mention that 2nd place prize structure was higher than a deal for 60K...

si que es raro que el 2º se lleve mas que el 1º, pero es lo que tienen los pactos, que unas veces te favorecen y otras te perjudican.

Congratulations to all the winners in this mega event. It was great to read about the person who finished second, they entered on a $11 dollar satellite and took home $725,267.11

I think he did make a good deal, he had 725k GTD now , if the deal wasn't made the final table would have lasted way longer because people wouldnt go and ship it with a-2 etc..

That's one hell of a result for $11,well done to him/her but one thing though isn't the tax laws in Greece a bit harsh ? i'm sure i read somewhere that they pay more than here in tax so i'm wondering how much he will lose to the tax man.

@jeffaboy... I dont think situation has changed if you watched video... They were playing for 100K $ after deal, so they played still at their maximum, and gemeplay didnt change at all... Still I am sure he would finish same if there wasnt any deal, so it was bad decision for him...

Is a very good result for the player, e entrer in this tournament from a satellite with 11 dollars of buy in, and get this huge kind of money is good, besaide the tax that he may have to pay is huge, and for what i saw the biggest win has 63 dollars, but this guy is not the only guy in the final table with a huge hit, had another one that from a satellite buy in 1,65 dollars and get, i dont know but i think was 4º or 5º place, not a huge kind of money but see here he came from is a very nive result too.
Just one thing, i readed i think in the pokerstars site that this tournament hit the first place with 1 millon garanted, and after a deal the high win was that 700k, strange maybe could have played for 200k for the first place and dont know, just a opinion.

Did it really take that long to win this tournament? I mean 15 hours that is extremely tuff especially if you have to play through the night into the next day. Are they not having any bigger breaks in this tournament besides the usual 5 minutes every hour?

I was thinking the same thing as some other people,to play a tournament with the pressure of winning life changing sums of money must be really hard, especially if all you get is a 5 minute break every hour.

I like the fact that eventually in an Anniversary Sunday Million nobody leaves the table with a million. I mean don't get me wrong they were probably happy with all this, but damn these deals are a misery every time. Poker isn't a democracy, just 'cuz you end up top3 doesn't mean you entitled money which should go out for the top2. Work for it, goddamn.
