The €25,000 buy-in High Roller is down to a final table of eight players after three intensive days of play in Malta. Connor Drinan, who bagged up 893k after nearly 10 levels of play, will lead the way to today's final table.

He will be joined by fellow Americans Dani Stern (827,000) and Nick Petrangelo (179,000), Dzmitry Urbanovich (734,000) and Piotr Franczak (612,000) from Poland, Germany's Martin Finger (358,000), and Canadians Sam Greenwood (431,000) and Daniel Dvoress (367,000).

All finalists are already guaranteed €79,800 for outlasting a total field of 88 entries (total prize pool €2,156,000). The last man standing at the end of it all will take home a whopping €572,300! Check back tomorrow for another update.

I love these type of events because it really brings the best players to the tournament. There is normally a player from Germany on the final table and i will be following him closely to see how he does

It must be a good feeling to go into the late stages of a tournament with nearly 80,000 Euros already in your pocket, only one place to go and you have 100k.I don't know what the structure of the tournament was but with a field of only 88 it seems to have taken a long time to get to this stage.

Or simply just brings the players with the deepest wallet to the tournament. These high rollers are not always that high on standards.
