There are now only 20 players left in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event after two days of intensive play. Carl Westcott, a recipient of the Horatio Alger Award in 2003, will lead the remaining players into Day 3 with 1,066,000 in chips.

Not far behind him is Artur Koren with 1,062,000, and in third place is no one else than former Main Event Champion Greg Merson with 800,000. Besides Merson, notables such as Doc Sands, Jason Wheeler, Barry Hutter, and Kevin MacPhee will all return to the Amazon Room for Day 3.

All of the remaining players are now guaranteed to take home at least $14,280 each. The eventual winner will get $466,120!

Its getting down to crunch time in this event and there are a few notable players lurking. Greg Merson is the undoubted favourite to win but there is a lot of poker to be played yet

i testify that i have no clue who is greg merson and have no urgent need to google him, would be a totally different scenario if some hot female pornstar was in the final 20 players... that would absolutely require a closer inspection of circumstances.
whats the big deal anyway, i also make it to the final 20 when in play single table sng?

Some exciting players left with only 20 remaining,I love seeing the experienced players such as Merson and Sands competing against the new breed of poker players.Artur Koren is playing well and should do well this year.

Might be missing something at this point but I always found fascinating that we learn many-many details about these toureys (not even on the final table, just a random late stage), yet not a goddam hand nor anything useful 2 be a lesson 2 learn are going into the article at all. Just some random names and a WiW?
