114 players returned for the third day of the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo Casino EPT Grand Final Main Event. After five 90-minute levels of play, the day ended with 34 remaining players and Jose Carlos Garcia, the overall Day 1 chip leader, out in front with 1.71 million in chips.
Garcia was the first player to surpass 1 million in chips on Day 3, and he's the only player closing in on two million at the moment (mainly thanks to him winning a massive pot at the end of Day 3). The fact is that only one other player, Connan Drinan (1,065,000) has over one million in chips.
The plan for Day 4, which begins at noon local time, is to play until the end of Level 24 or until 16 players remain. The remaining players are guaranteed to take home at least €26,500 each and the last man standing will get €1,082,000!
With so many notables left in the tournament (have a look at the chip counts below and you know what we are talking about) we don't even want to speculate in who will stand tall as the winner on Friday.
