Laurent Polito Wins Fourth WPT National Main Event!

Tags: Laurent Polito, WPT National Brussels.
Posted on 21 July 2015 by "T".

On Sunday, July 19, Laurent Polito took home his fourth WPT National Main Event title after besting a field of 428 entries in the WPT National Brussels Main Event. The French poker pro is the first player ever to win four WPT National Main Events. Even more impressively is that all 4 titles have been won in two years!

He now has over $1.4 million in live tournament earnings, including his win of the 2012 EPT Barcelona High Roller for $332,017(his biggest score to date). He currently is 28th on France's all-time money list (Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier is the biggest winner with $10.9 million).

So we have another name to take in consideration when looking to the big poker scene. He's not new in the game, but his results during the last two years really gives another sense to the meaning of pro. So should we look more to those we are already used to see on the shows and in the mediatic space or for those who are really making an effort to conquer all the good prizes and that, in fact, are doing it? If this guy knows how to speak good English (sometimes french are rusty on that...) he can have a place waiting for him at one of those shows, or at least he should be more talked about by poker journalists.

Many congratulations to Laurent Polito on winning this WPT Event and the first place prize money of $61,325. I have never heard of this guy, but reading about his results,i think we will be hearing a lot of him in the future

A nice win for him and very impressive that he has won 4 WPT titles.
Do the big name players still get involved with the WPT tournaments?I don't see a lot of them on TV these days but when I do they never have the quality compared to the EPT or WSOP events.

Yeah but why did he have to sit down while taking the photograph? It's a pretty uneven picture this way compositionwise tbh - I cannot believe the photographer did not see this.
MAybe this way they could push the sponsor/title molino into the picture but it is still ridiculous.
