The Eureka Poker Tour Rozvadov €1,100 Main Event attracted 682 entries, and two days ago the remaining eight players returned to the final table at King's Casino. Seven different nations were represented at the final table, but incredibly enough two Argentineans, who also happen to be a couple, ended up playing heads-up for the title! What are the odds of that in a tournament with almost 700 players?
Anyhow, the battle between girlfriend and boyfriend lasted for approximately 90 minutes, during which time Ivan Luca dominated play and eventually eliminated his girlfriend Maria Lampropoulos in second place after making a flush on the river against a straight.
Luca, 23, received €106,186 for his victory and now has close to $3 million in career earnings! Lampropoulos received €95,404 - the biggest cash of her career!
Final table results:
1. Ivan Luca - Argentina - €106,186*
2. Maria Lampropoulos - Argentina - €95,404*
