Why not put all those eight millions into the main event's prizepool straight up? That would really make this ino an XL tournament IMO. Otherwise it's just all the same.

That would mean one tourney with a fairly high buy-in, and that's it. As they do it, they have one tourney with a fairly high buy-in, and a bunch of other tourneys, with lower buy-ins. Far more players can put their money on the tables. It is like the WSOP. They don't have the main event only.

These sort of events are always well contested and this should prove to be no exception. I normally play on the Party Poker series and i will be looking forward to reading about my fellow mobsters playing in these tournies

well nice series of tournaments to be honest, 8 millions of dollaros in total prizepool means quite a lot of money to be won on the virtual felt. sure 1.5 million guaranteed main event is the pick of them all.

More tournaments with lower buy ins, means that more players can join. That way they can attract player of all levels if they are not regular in their site. Main one with 1.5mil... Anyone here is chasing this one, with qualifiers?

As I mentioned - yeah that would be a truly extra-large competition - which is quite rare online. It's nice to have a million dollar tourney as your headliner but other rooms doing it from one week to another and not just an occasional event.

"Other rooms" aka Stars has a much higher player base, and can afford to do so. And even if they are currently one of the bigger rooms 8-8-8 and bwinparty just can't keep up with that kind of competition.

If you organize well and start early to schedule qualifying tournaments many players will get their seats in main events tournaments other than those who will directly buy in access. 888 Poker is a great room to play poker and i think these tournaments with total prizes over 8 millions dollars will bring profit and 888 will not put his hand in his pocket to honor the awards.

At first it sounds like a verry interesting promo. Sometimes it was not easy to have the right overview about so many promos with different rules and conditions. But why not try some tourney qualifier for this promo.

US$8 million guaranteed XL Eclipse is one of the biggest events ever at 888poker. The XL Eclipse comprised of nearly 200 events over 15 days. Many aspiring poker players must have been eagerly waiting for the event to begin. Good luck to all.

Yes this is a very big series of tournaments and if you like to play on ooo ppker then it is a good chance to make some money. Of course I also would like to play some bigger tournaments in this series and main event is very good with 1.5 million prizemoney but i don't have a big bankroll there so maybe next year

While the poker sites are less nowadays and players also, we see that the prizes in tournaments are getting bigger. Even in smaller sites, like the tournaments americas cardroom is advertisinh here. Good for the grinders since all of them have qualifiers.
