On Thursday night (January 17), Television Hall of Fame member Betty White celebrated her 97th birthday with cake and played poker with her buddies. Betty, who has the longest television career of any female entertainer, regularly plays poker with her friends in Los Angeles.
However, even though her home town is known for many private high-stakes poker games with Hollywood celebrities, she revealed on The Late Show with James Corden in 2017 that she and her friends only play for fun.
On the picture below, a happy and healthy Betty White greets well-wishers as she runs errands in Beverly Hills a day before her 97th birthday.
Last year in an interview with Parade magazine, Betty White said regarding her successful career and her secrets to living a long life, "I know it sounds corny, but I try to see the funny side and the upside, not the downside. I get bored with people who complain about this or that. It's such a waste of time. Enjoy life. Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!' It's not hard to find great stuff if you look."
As for her eating habits, the bubbly actress actually does not restrict herself to kale or other boring health foods, but instead she said she likes to eat things that she loves, namely vodka and hotdogs, "probably in that order."
A rep for Betty said, "Betty is feeling great. She has the absolute best sense of humor." The actress "still loves to work and offers keep coming in."
What a lovely story and it did bring a smile to my face when i read it. I think that we all would love to be doing the exact same thing on our 97th birthaay if we a re lucky enough to make it that far. Happy Birthday Betty

She a lovely and funny lady. The show she was playing, golden girls, was one of my favorite She has a nice philosophy for life and it seems it is working out good, considering she is now 97 years old and she looks good also for her age

I admit i did not watch too many movies or series with this actress. Very rarely i saw a movie with her and this actress has some kind of attraction which makes you to remember a lot in connection with his performance but also with her cheerful face. This woman is a monument of joy and vitality. I wish him a lot of health and to live very much.

thats why I say that if we live till 65 years,its great number!new generation are not that strong as old one!but if you cant walk or something like that in 90 years,what do you have from that!?ofcourse every person want to live as much as you can,but if you cant take care by yourself,then its not good for anybody!
