The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is considered to be the richest, biggest and most prestigious poker gaming event in the world, having already given away over $2.99 billion in prize money. The WSOP is also well known for its prestigious gold bracelet since it is recognized worldwide as the game's ultimate prize.

In the 2018 WSOP, a record 123,865 entries participated, accumulating a 49-year high of $266,889,193 in prize money.

The average WSOP gold bracelet event last year had a $3,421,656 prize pool with $655,337 going to the winner.

Held annually in Las Vegas, this year marks the 50th Anniversary of the WSOP, so things will definitely be made interesting for every player who attends this once-in-a-lifetime summer poker festival!

2019 50th World Series of Poker
When: May 28 to July 16, 2019
Where: Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas
Check out the full schedule here.

There's going to be many brand new and noteworthy features that players will definitely enjoy in this year's WSOP. Some of them are:

Main Event Seat Giveaway
To celebrate their 50th year, WSOP is giving away $50,000 in Main Event seats to loyal tourney players. All players can earn up to 5 entries for a raffle to be held in July 1, 2019. A total of five seats are up for grabs and players can already get a free entry by swiping their Caesars Rewards card at the Rio Caesars Rewards desk! Get additional entries when you participate in gold bracelet events. Enter two different gold event bracelets, you get to earn a second entry. For every additional gold bracelet event you enter after the first two, you earn another entry to the drawing. Every one may earn a max of 5 entries for the raffle. Just buy in to gold bracelet events and you will automatically be entered to the raffle and reminded how many entries you've got so far.

WSOP Tournament Account
Players can now opt to wire funds for the WSOP tournament play or put money in an account when they arrive. After they set up an account at the WSOP Main Cage, players can register for tournaments online or through their mobile device (a much better alternative than waiting in line).

Credit Cards at the Cage
Players can now use debit and credit cards to register. Of course, they can also opt to use the usual tournament buy-in methods such as cash, casino chips and cashier's checks.

Gavin Smith Memorial Poker Tournament
On the opening day of the 2019 WSOP on May 28 at 6pm, a $200 buy-in NLHE tournament will be held to help raise funds for the family of 50-year-old Gavin Smith, who passed away in his sleep on January 14. It is a rake-free event with the prize pool receiving $100 of each entry, and the other $100 going to the Gavin Smith trust.

Gorilla Gaming Live Action Games
This year, another addition to the Pavilion Room would be a mid-stakes live action section. Featuring 30 high-end Gorilla Gaming tables, these will have automatic shufflers, upgraded chairs and power for device charging.

$500 Hot Seat Promotion for Live Action Games
The Rio Pavilion Ballroom shall house approximately 40 live action tables in the hourly "Hot Seat" promo every day, every hour of the WSOP. Every hour a random seat will be drawn, and the player on that seat shall receive a nice sum of $500 in cash value Rio casino chips. The promo runs from June 4 to July 9.

Buy-ins for tournaments will start as low as $70. Single table satellites and all live poker games (low, medium and high limit) shall commence on May 28, to run 24 hours per day throughout the 7-week series set within the premises of the colossal Rio Convention Center for the 15th consecutive year.

In 2018, a total of 78 bracelet events were held, with some of these tournaments having super low buy-ins plus there were 4 online tournaments played on WSOP.com.
It is expected that the 2019 WSOP shall likely feature over 80 events with the same number (if not more) of online tournaments.

If you're going to the 2019 WSOP, you will definitely not miss a new spectacle upon arriving at the Rio Convention Center rotunda are - players will be greeted with a $1 Million cash display under the famed Horseshoe, replicated for the 50th WSOP to pay homage to the famous display that WSOP patriarch Benny Binion created downtown.

The total amount of prize money in the amount of 3 billion dollars is certainly something unthinkable for the absolute majority of people on the planet ..... I would certainly like to watch the broadcast when the best players show all their great poker skills .... to try to learn a little at the super poker game professionals ... OK .... I will search for broadcasts on the Internet to see it
