The stage is officially set for poker's biggest showdown.
After eight grueling days of action at the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas, the field has been reduced to just nine players, all of whom are now guaranteed at least $1 million. Waiting at the top is the coveted WSOP gold bracelet and the tournament's $10 million first-place prize.
Leading the way is 22-year-old Lucas Jumalon of the United States, who bagged a massive 194,000,000 chips (129 big blinds), more than double the stack of his nearest challenger. Jumalon capped off his remarkable Day 8 performance by eliminating reigning Aussie Millions Main Event champion Malcolm Trayner in 10th place, officially forming the final table.

While Jumalon enters with a commanding advantage, the final table still features plenty of experienced talent. Canada's Greg Mueller, a two-time WSOP bracelet winner, remains well within striking distance, while seasoned pros Michael Gagliano and former EPT champion Mario Boos are hoping to mount a comeback when play resumes.
The finalists will now enjoy a three-week break before returning to Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas on August 3, with play scheduled across three days until a new world champion is crowned. The extended pause marks the return of a delayed final table format, giving players time to prepare for the biggest moment of their poker careers.
Can Lucas Jumalon convert his overwhelming chip lead into poker immortality, or will one of the chasing pack engineer a memorable comeback? The answer - and the next WSOP Main Event champion - will be decided when the final table resumes in August.
