England vs Montenegro: UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifying Tournament
Date: November 14, 2019 (Thursday)
Kick-off: 7:45pm (UK time)
Venue: Wembley Stadium, London
TV coverage (UK): ITV 1

Montenegro shall be the visitors this Thursday, November 14, 2019, kick off time 7:45pm, as manager Gareth Southgate's men continue their path to the UEFA Euro 2020 next summer.

This fixture shall be England's final European Qualifier, and it's also their sixth time to meet with Montenegro, the first since the Three Lions' 5-1 away victory earlier this 2019.

England will qualify for Euro 2020, that is, if they can get a result against Group A strugglers Montenegro come Thursday. All the Three Lions need is just one point from their remaining two matches in order to secure a spot in next summer's European Championships.

England Team News
The big news is on Raheem Sterling, who shall no longer play in the upcoming match because of "a disturbance in a private team area" between him and his teammate Joe Gomez. The Manchester City forward Sterling, age 24, had an on-field argument with Liverpool's Joe Gomez, age 22, during Reds' 3-1 Premier League victory at Anfield on Sunday.

Sterling said in his Instagram account on Tuesday, "Both Joe and I have had words and figured things out and moved on. We are in a sport where emotions run high and I am man enough to admit when emotions got the better of me. This is why we play this sport because of our love for it - me and Joe Gomez are good, we both understand it was a five to 10 second thing... it's done, we move forward and not make this bigger than it is."

England manager Gareth Southgate, after consulting with senior players, decided to drop Sterling on Monday, "Unfortunately the emotions of yesterday's game were still raw. One of the great challenges and strengths for us is that we've been able to separate club rivalries from the national team. We have taken the decision to not consider Raheem for the match against Montenegro on Thursday. My feeling is that the right thing for the team is the action we have taken. Now that the decision has been made with the agreement of the entire squad, it's important that we support the players and focus on Thursday night."

The candidate to take his place could be Jadon Sancho.

Montenegro Team News
Montenegro shall play without their record goalscorer Steven Jovetic, who is still trying to recover from a cruciate ligament rupture that he suffered back in April. Manager Faruk Hadzibegic has also dropped Luka Mirkovic, Nebojsa Kosovic and Andrija Dragojevic following their loss to Kosovo last month.

Right-back Adam Marusic recently had to pull out of the squad due to a flexor strain in the right thigh.

Referee
Antonio Mateu Lahoz (Spain)

Key Stats

  • This is England's 1,000th international game. To celebrate, the team will take to the pitch wearing individual legacy numbers on their shirts. Southgate will not be wearing his, but his number is 1,071.
  • England have won 8 from their last 11 games (L2); they have won their last six home fixtures, scoring 20 goals in the process.
  • Montenegro have only won 3 of their last 20 games, losing ten.
  • Montenegro have scored only 14 goals in their previous 18 matches, and none in their last three games.

What are the Odds?
According to Unibet on 13 Nov. at 09:00 CET:

  • England 1/18 (1.06)
  • Draw 23/2 (12.50)
  • Montenegro 34/1 (35.00)

What are the Predictions?

Team England - Possible XI: Jordan Pickford; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harry Maguire, Tyrone Mings, Ben Chilwell; Henderson, Harry Winks, Mason Mount; Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Harry Kane.

Team Montenegro - Possible XI: Danijel Petkovic; Momcilo Raspopovic, Marko Simic, Dusan Lagator, Darko Bulatovic; Vladimir Jovovic, Nikola Vukcevic, Deni Hocko, Aleksandar Boljevic, Marko Vesovic; Stefan Mugosa.

Having already a 5-1 win in Montenegro back in March and since there is very little experience of top-level club football play in this Montenegro squad, England is seen to be the stronger team to take the victory at Wembley.

Predicted Score: England 4 Montenegro 0

A win or a draw for Southgate's side will see them qualify.

England then will play their final group match away in Kosovo on Sunday.

It seems to me that despite all the turmoil in the squad of England, the hosts are a stone favorite of this meeting and will advance to the European Championships 2020. Somehow another possibility. I have a question, do you think so, or do you have a different opinion about this match?

Football is unpredictable and any result should not surprise us. Large teams in general will often qualify, but there are many situations where these big nations miss the qualification. We will see the results in this week and i'll risk a few dollars again for my luck or to lose.

Well, I just leave my comment just because I do not like to think about football since I really do not like this sport much, I prefer basketball since I played it since I was very young hahaha without saying more we see people and see you in another news or who knows where else haha Worship Worship Worship

We don't have lucky from the start of this qualification.
First match judges stole us victory against Bulgaria and give them zlich penalty. Second our ex secelctor Tumbakovic and 2 players didn't wish to show up on match against Kosovo.
Now we don't have many good players during injuries so I hope that we don't receive so much goals because England play very good and we play never worst in history.
And England have some ceremony that day too.

betting on this match makes it rather difficult .... of course from the point of view of the strength of the teams you need to bet specifically on England .... but Montenegro probably has more desire to win this game and they will play with full force for the sake of this victory .. .. so betting on this match is quite problematic .... anything can happen .... Winning either team or a draw .... it seems to me that there is more lottery Confused

I will make some tickets today because i have seen interesting matches, and i like it when i see this thing. The opportunity to win is good if you know exactly what to bet, but there are chances to lose of course. These chances to win they are a little bigger.
 pajalnick14/11/2019 15:06:04 GMT
Today I bet on the express .... express of 12 matches .... of course most of the matches were with a clear favorite, but several matches were with a higher odds ... 1.6 or 2.4 ... and as a result, with a bet of 2, 5 dollars I have a chance to win 122 dollars if I guess all 12 outcomes of matches .... it would certainly be very cool if this happened .... express I won only once when I bet on 10 matches .... maybe will today's express be my best achievement? Confused Worship Worship Worship

There are a few Euro qualifying games today, with very hot favorites (France, Portugal, Serbia) but maybe England even more so. And it shows in the odds. 1.06 are not the kind of odds, one wants to place a bet on.

England managed to make a great match and crushed Montenegro with a very high score. 7-0 is very good or bad for the teams or these nations. Unfortunately for the people of that country, they had no chance at all in this group, anyway. It takes a lot of work to make a formidable band on the field.
 dule-vu16/11/2019 13:04:23 GMT
some of country played so bad in this qualifications and some of them will play for first time at some big competition, one of them is finland!who would tell that they will be on better place in group then greece and bosnia!some of countries dont deserve to play, when you see results!I dont watch serbia for years, because they are i D i O t S,who just come to play without heart and to see relatives on few days!
 pajalnick16/11/2019 15:53:10 GMT
unfortunately my express train failed in the very first game that was played among 12 games I made bets on .... it was a game between Turkey and Iceland .... unfortunately Turkey needed a draw so they pulled time so late that they got a huge amount yellow cards and even a red card got a man on the bench .... so they did not want to play .... very sorry when this happens .... They could win Unconditionally Aww crap!
 CALICUL16/11/2019 22:15:20 GMT
These games have good or bad results and it is not necessary to bet every time. There were some very small quotas and i didn't want to bet on these results. I didn't see the results today and i don't know if i lost or not. I hope they scored beautiful goals and there were no surprises.
 pajalnick17/11/2019 15:52:38 GMT
when such matches occur, you need to consider many factors ... not only the strength of the teams that take part in the game, but also the tournament position .... what result do these teams need for a favorable result .... therefore, it seems to me, on the one hand, it is easier to predict the results .... But on the other hand, some teams can give a surprise and jump above their heads
 CALICUL18/11/2019 00:24:21 GMT
Usually if you don't have a nice team that plays football, you can't get the qualifications in the final tournaments. Surprises are always and this is the situation. England has the football team again and is quite strong right now. Montenegro does not have and will have to very much for this thing.
