have the old people lost the skill to younger players?

I dont know if this is the right way to look at players of yeasterday and the nowadays. First you have to think in the way of living. In the 80's there weren't so many kids playing because of the culture. There was only the real game, now there is the online game where you play, sometimes, against 12 year old tough winning kids. Things changed. People learn things earlier and older guys dont want to melt with this irreverent players, they prefer to play with themselves, that is the only reason.

I think in the next few years poker will become a very big problem for the young people and thus for the whole society because they lose the connection to the reality. Of course, tht's not only because of poker, but also because of th www...

I think online poker is responsible for this, people start playing at a young age online. and multitabling gives them much more experience than they would have got by live play.

Older players play much much tighter because they are from an era where everyone played that way. I don't think that younger players are "better" they just play much more aggressively, but then again you see players like Sammy Farha who aren't all that young who can play extremely aggressive.
I think that older players generally have more experience, but there are some crazy young internet players that have TONNES of experience simply because of the volume of hands you can play online compared to live.
EDIT: oops i got confused about the topic lol
Definitely there are more younger players, this is because as i said due to online play, younger players can get huge amounts of experience from playing such huge numbers of hands.

I think many years ago poker was a game of adult men +30 years, but the popularity achieved by the variant poker hold em attracted women and youth of covering almost any age. I think today the main feature of poker is precisely that it is massive and almost anyone can play! The youth can better adapt to the new strategies and gameplay each time more fast and multiple tables. poker is played today is not the same as 20 years ago. Statistical software and online poker rooms have added poker tools that were formerly in the hands of few players.
