How do you find out that the person next to you is a computer generated person? Does he go; "Hel-lo. My na-me is Pro-teus. I poss-ess the wis-dom and igno-rance of all men, but I can-not feel the sun on my fa-ce." in the chat? I thought CGP's only played chess...

Hmmmmmmm Bots eh.......I don't know who im playing online could be human could be robot ........ but as long as Im winning Im happy....Maybe Im naive but could you teach a bot to play as irrational as a human.........I cant understand the way some of them play. So it dosent really matter to me as long as they have money and i can beat it out of them, would be nice to know if you had being playing a bot and winning. Could then tell everyone you are so good even a computer cant beat you

Why do u think so? What did i noticed? I've almost never thought it while playing so it seems to me I'm always playing against other people.
Only once happened a strange thing at a NL10 cash table on ipoker network: I saw a player going allin every f**ing hand for about 35-40 tiimes: after a while me and other players were folding since we got a decent hand; when called and busted the "maniac" autorebuy 20BB and keep going allin again.
he rebought for at least 20 times then remained at the table with $ 0
during these hands everyone was kidding him in chat but he never said any single word.
this was my only time I thought to play against a bot but then never more.
and what about you?

I would have wanted to be at that table. If that was a bot, and not a jealous girlfriend that wanted to get a revenge on her boyfriend by losing all his money, think of how dissapointed the owner must have been when he came to the computer and read the HH!!! Like:

I just waited for great hands and just called. Same thing tho, wouldn't answer chat but would go all in everyhand and auto rebuy. It was like a broken cash machine just spitting out money. People were laughing and making jokes at him.
As for bots, I'm not sure how to tell if you are playing one. But I did read somewhere that most of them run off of pot odds and one way to beat them is to make the pot odds so bad that they will automatically fold. Also from the article, it said because they operate off of pot odds that alot of times people will put them on limit games. Somewhere around $1/$2 to $5/$10. Those bastards

The are bots on almost everysite pokersite like everest poker etc... but they are easy to beat they just play a standard game, theres nothing wrong with them, site usually use the if traffic is low.
Its the superusers you wanna look out for the REAL people who have software to see everyones cards. recently Pitbullpoker.com was found out to be a scam with over 80 superuser accounts, the funny thing is tho i cashout 9k from there and never got scammed. hmm
