sometimes it seems the world is against you dont it? =). Made the final table for the second time today, first time going out as lowstack with AK vs QQ no big deal. This time I was places third when i went up against the second chiplead. Pot limit tournament and i get AQ suited hearts on the button. Flop came 2hQs7c, the dudes raises the pot and I put it all in. he calls and shows me AJos. turn came 10h (now im happy) river hits Ks and i was not happy anymore . i guess thats poker but sometimes I wonder. Seems i very rarely put bad beats like that one people (i did take out a low stack with K10 vs KJ but he was shortstacked it couldnt be played any other way) but every day at some point some douchebag makes a bad play and breaks me. gotta love poker
Yea the variance in MTT's can be frustrating as hell m8. Plus that was a pretty damn bad beat with runner-runner straigh, ouch! I had pretty bad one the other day myself, 2 tables left, about 5th in chips, i get AK & make it 3 BB to go, the other big stack 3 bets me, I push all in (yes i maybe overplayed AK but he was being suuuuuuuper aggressive on this table), i didnt think he had Aces or Kings.... instead he calls me with KJ!!!! (wtf??) I hit the king on flop & praying no jacks show up.... yup you guessed it, runner-runner jacks for a full house. Unbelievable.
Damn river, how many times kills you. But you can be happy anyway because you finished third and earned something. AJ against AQ in a final table is typical final table coinflip

It's frustrating when you are eliminated with a runner-runner, and of course it's even worse if you are playing the final table on a MTT. That is why a lot of people call MTTs donkaments. You were just really unlucky. Just keep trying, you played the hand well. It wasn't your tournament.
