Lucky Mob Member Wins Christmas Calendar Prize Twice

We're used to bad beat stories all the time so here's a story from the other side of that cliff. One lucky BankrollMob member, won two times in our 4-day old Christmas Calendar. Not just any two days, but two days right after each other. And as if that's not enough, he even won the same prize both times. An Apple iPod Shuffle 4GB sponsored by Cool Hand Poker. Congratulations with your iPod's, Ma[...]   Read more » Lucky Mob Member Wins Christmas Calendar Prize Twice

That's pretty cool, 24 days ofChristmas. So, it's possible to win 4 times in 1 day?

No you can only click it once every day, so you can't win 4 times in a day Smile

I just thought of something..

Its now 12.01 am here in the UK so I can now do the 6th December box.

But in France its only 11pm so they cant..

And in Australia its been 6th decemeber for 12 hours.

So in theory those in Australia have 12 hours head start on anyone in the UK

In the US they still have 5 hours to go before they can do the box... So all those people in Europe could have won prizes even before those in the US are eligible to have a go.

So how can you base the prizes given based on the times when people use the site, because the time differences mean that peak times of use could mean some people havent even reached that day yet... Or they have to wait till later on by which time some people will already be on the next day.

curiouser and curiouser.

Rather a strange analogy. The draw to AA. The big difference is that the same cards are shuffled and dealt at the same time and dealt to the same people. The draw however is completely at random.

I could click on a door at 9am one day then 9pm the next day... Are you saying I have the same chance of winning the same prizes no matter what time of day I click on the door ? If I click on the door at 1 minute to midnight then the chances are the best prizes have already been gone. If I however click on the door at 1 minute past midnight then all the prizes are still available...

To suggest that this draw is comparable to getting dealt AA is ridiculously wrong. Its notihng like getting dealt cards because when dealt cards each player has an equal chance of getting the same cards. In the draw its dependant on time of day, what prizes are left, how many people have already won, how many havent...

Sure - if you want to get completely technical, then you're correct Smile But that's not really what I wrote. I wrote: "Like you have 1 in 220 (I think) odds of being dealt AA, then you have 1 in something to get through and win a prize.". And that's the case, you have a "1 in something" chance to win a prize. That could be any prize. awood88 didn't ask about the chances of winning the exact same prize.

If I click on the door at 1 minute to midnight then the chances are the best prizes have already been gone. If I however click on the door at 1 minute past midnight then all the prizes are still available...

Since prizes are given away randomly, it might as well be the best prizes are still the last to be given out. But it's true that all prizes are available right after midnight. Do you have other ideas on how to do a "daily draw"? Smile

well first of all france is an hour ahead of the Uk so when it's midnight at home it's 1am here. But as Dunotra said and made very clear in the xmas calender instructions (assuming you ever read anything properly) the calender goes by GMT. That doesn't mean to say that some countries don't have an advantage because Eastern european countries are likely to be asleep at 00.01 GMT whilst Australians I assume would be in work at the middle of the day. The US probably have the best time as it's their evening. But I don't see any way round that since people need to log in to win the prize, otherwise there is no point for BRM having this promo.

Congrats to those lucky mob members that have one so far. As for me, I just joined the "losers club thread" because I don't have much luck at draws and stuff alike. But even if I don't win I will still enjoy clicking at the days anyway
