List of BAD poker moves that annoy you  +2
OK

I want to create a list of dumb things people do in poker games that piss you off.

I'll start with two examples:

In tournament play when someone bluffs a locked pot and chips up the person who is allin. For example, SNG bubble, 4 people left, small stack shoves (has shown a fairly weak shoving range so far) everyone calls, after the flop someone bets.. OK - general theory is to check it down, but if someone makes a nice hand, sure, have a bet. Only, when everyone folds to the presumed nice hand, the person who made the bet flips over some weak s**t like K high nothing. Only to result in the person who shoved getting enough chips to be a real contender again. DUMB - you can NOT bluff someone who is ALLIN - I cannot count the amount of times I have seen this. I know there is cases, like for example if you have a monster stack and are exploiting all the low/medium stacks trying to survive the bubble, it can be in your favour to keep the bubble running. However, generally speaking, you want the bubble to burst.

In RING game:

it get's to the river card and either the board itself is unbeatable or else it's painstakingly obvious you're sharing an even hand and some a-hole shoves. So you have to call and you end up paying a ridiculous amount of rake and actually lose money on a split hand. This really s**ts me. A couple of times, on hands with very small pots vs very large shoves I've actually calculated that the rake I'd pay to get in on the split would outweigh the loss by folding. ANd have folded and been called an idiot. HAH. Although, in saying that, if you knew your opponent would make the same fold knowing the rake would make the call not worth it, maybe it could be a tactical move. But generally speaking. DO NOT INCREASE THE RAKE IF YOU KNOW YOU'RE SPLITTING THE POT.

1) The idiot who cracks your AA with 8 3 suited and justifies its by

a) they were soooted
b) I won didnt I..

2) Its hand to hand in a MTT and you get the idiot who slows things down thinking hes somehow got a better chance of someon busting before he decides what to do.. WHY.. it makes no difference you moron....

3) First hand of an MTT, and someone always shoves allin.. WHY WHY WHY.. shove all in with anything hopeing to do what? win the 35 chips....

4) Idiots who register for freerolls, then when its full decide they arent going to play, so rather than de-register, they sit out.. WHY TAKE UP A SEAT YOU WONT USE YOU UTTER IMBECILE..

I too get pissed off with people who register for a tourney and then sit out. What are they hoping for, that they might make it into the money for nothin...NOT.
Another thing that irritates me (thank goodness for chat filters) are people who have to boast every hand they win like they're a poker prodigy, and later when they get busted by making a bad decision, the trash talk goes into overdrive. Fkin crybabies.....hate them all.
Maybe the one thing that irks me the most are players in ring games that rathole. They'll sit down push all in over and over again, and if they double up......whoosh they're gone.

I guess these aren't really bad moves as such, but poor poker ethics. Most people would think twice before doing that s**t in person (unless they enjoy gettin s**tkick'd) but it's perfectly fine online.

When you simply have to call a big bet on river "just in case hes bluffing" ... wich he isnt 90 % of the times. Disagree

if there are 7 of 10 residents at a DoN and after 3 or 4 got eliminated there is only( and i mean only!) Push or Fold play and 20 hands no action - boring

In poker there is really only one thing a player can do that annoys me: Winning a hand against me.

Most of the things mentioned here are so common, just don't let it get near to you.

You're first sentence is fine I suppose, but not really contributing in the way I asked. Your second is NOT in the spirit of this thread. Also, to the poster about DoN's - I don't quite see the connection to the thread ??? Confused

This is not a bad beat thread, or let off steam or whatever. It's just meant to be for posting amusing/dumb things people do in a game of poker.. Big Smile

I pretty much agree with everything so far. Also

people who play freerolls and don't raise the sit outs, wasting time by checking to someone who automatically folds to a bet.

People who show insignificant hands. Someone bets on a flop K 10 7, I fold A 8 and then the opponent shows Q 10. I have no idea why. What is he trying to say, that he bluffed me?

People who min raise after five callers (bad enough anyway) and then end up having a small pair. Usually this is when I call in the small blind cos I have odds to call then the bb raises. But what for? He's not going to get anyone off the hand and there's nothing to say he's going to win it.

ok. I will no longer protect the guilty. Big Smile
Player A: 22
Player B: JJ

Preflop all-in.

Board runs out: 44x42

Player A goes nuts, when he sees the chips moved to player B. "But i have a full house"

Haha ! Yep they're all pure GOLD !

Man, those min raises who are last to bet.. haha, I always wonder what is going through their mind. Whether they have AA and think they're being clever by knowing everyone will call a min raise and thus think they're gonna win more money with their unbeatable AA. Or maybe they think they're gonna scare off some of the limpers with their raise.. I have no idea. Actually, I've noticed those people often min bet everything, any flop, any two cards that they have.

On PKR if someone is sitting out, it auto-folds them even to a call, which is great, because I've played on sites like how you mentioned some dumbass plays the hand check/check against someone not at the table. The only exception on PKR is obviously when the blinds put the sitting out person allin. At that point obv there is no fold.

And with showing insignificant cards, I've found the most common one is someone who's obviously got A high s**t on the river, they use the timer for a while and then fold showing you their Ace. As if to say "hey, that's how good I am, I can fold an Ace, on the river, when I've hit nothing and you clearly have a fullhouse"

Usually I get pissed at many/most of the moves you're mentioning here. BUT the thing is I get pissed only when I LOSE to these idiots and not when I rightfully WIN Tongue
Example:
-idiots who push with 84s against my aces, I'm so glad when I win, which is most of the time
-idiots who shove first hand in a MTT, I'm glad when I get aces first hand
and so on...so I'm guessing in which end of the losing arrow I am Tongue

1) How about A-holes in ring games that buy in for around 50-55BB and insta-shove when they hit top pair?
2) Or those people that only play a hand because it is suited reguardless of the cards/pos. and insta-shove the flop when you flop a set (AAA for example that just happened to me recently), hitting on the river for the flush.
3) Those idiots that just insta-shove from EP being first to act w/KQos to your KK and hit a straight by the river
4) My all time favorite, idiots that call pf raises from any pos. w/J4 because they are suited and catch two pair or fullhouses on the flop

Anyone who utters this phrase at the table should have an automatic life ban.

@ ihatesuckouts and porsche - Can we please keep the topic away from bad beats and suckouts. I really like the idea of this thread. The op has already said this is not a bad beat thread, it's about dumb play or annoying things which online players do.

I have to mention 72 winning AA syndrome ofcourse although it is almost impossible to see that on some higher stakes

At probably not classical POKER move but when a player gets outdrawed and starts raging in the chatbox calling other guy names, and justyfing his move, i just dont see point there.
Yea you got outdrawed, unlucky wtf play next hand or go offline
