Yes, you may just need a break. I haven't played in about a week. I'm just on a little mental break and with the holidays around, I have been spending sometime with the family. A little time off does some good as you will be refreshed and maybe a concept or theory may sink in the next time you sit down giving you an edge over your previous style of play.
Never happened to me to be bored about poker; maybe beceause I don't play more than 2 hours per day and not all days. I try to avoid huge ( for number of players ) tournaments and prefer small tournaments or sitngo's
i get this sometimes, take break, and then find i miss it so come back thats what i'd advise you to do. If you don't miss then, then start playing bingo or something

think that you have to do what you think is best for you , so if stop playing poker makes you feel better well stop and maybe after some time the joy of playing poker will return and than you can always consider to play again .

Go take some rest man, think of other things, like news, read a book, watch a good documentary, read a good book. You have to find things you like and waste some time with it, instead of being always thinking in the same card game.
You should have given us a bit more information about since when you have this feeling and what (according to your own feeling) brought it on. Maybe (this happens in most cases) you have had a bad run and did for a longer period just not get the right cards to be able to play a decent hand. Or maybe you had a stroke of bad beats.
Anyhow, since you ask the question, it shows you care about poker and you like it, othwise you woulodn't have bothered with it. Just dig deep into your feelings AND in what's happened the last few games/weeks, and try to determine what went wrong. It may just as well be that something completely unrelated to poker has brought this feeling on, and maybe it is more generel than about poker only.
Anyhow, the best thing to do is take some time, doesn't have to be long, and use that time to "examine" why you have this feeling, and you'll find the answer and the solution quickly enough yourself. If you need help "venting", I'm always here for you

Posted by teteban: If you are bored, then just quit. If you ever get the itch to play back, poker will still be there. Don't just say "I'll quit for X time", because after X time you may still be bored...just quit with no expectations and that's it
