Hi guys !
Here it is, i blocked my full tilt account for 2 weeks ! Its, new year, so i think its time to change some thing. You might ask yourself why i did block my account. Its not because i was on tilt losing my bankroll, its just that actually i got to study for my Xmas tests and poker dont helps me for this (only helps for statistics and likelihood test ).
So here is a poll to now if u already blocked a poker account, if yes, how many time and, the more important, why you did it?
Watching myself doing that, i think i can say im clearly addicted to poker
Oh and i'd like to know if im alone : is there some others BRMobsters studying actually for tests ?

Never, but I was tempted to do it. Not because I was going off limits but... Well... I don't believe in rigged poker and totality refuse that idea... But iPoker can put me extremely sick almost every time I play there. So I thought about blocking to avoid to play there, but after second thoughts I realised I was being stupid.

How did you manage to block your account???
+1
For full tilt you look on top of the lobby where there is "lobby", "account", "cashier",... one of these is "demande" in french (dont know what it is in English). There, there is a "responsible gaming" button, you click on it and you get a window where you can chose some auto exclusion (there is 24h exclusion up to 180 days !). Once you chose to block, there is no way to unlock until the block period is finished.
@Shokaku : you ask me why play if i don't wanna play... think is that i wanna play! But i think its a good way for me to block my account because there is always a temptation to play (when im making a break or what else)... but yes indeed, as i said, if i have to block, im surely addicted to poker !
just put your password in wrong three times to block your account or for people with more control just withdraw your money back to the bank and delete the game off ya computer and dont playing it.

the option to block a account makes no sense to me since theres so many pokerclinets on the net. if i was addicted i would just download the next software and play. so nope never done, still got control over my self.

For me its just that i already tried many lobbys : only one i like is Full tilt : i mean, playing on other lobbys dont give me any pleasure... first reason why blocking my Full tilt account is enough. Second thing is that i have enough controle of myself not to deposit on another lobby (actually i was not even playing with money since i had decided not to deposit during my study time. I was just playing with Full tilt points.). Have thinked a lil bit why in this period i just want to play so much poker : i think that its just ive got something to prove to myself. Indeed, the last month i played poker, i had the impression my game has really improved, but i need yet to confirm this, and i'd like to test myself on more games. Till there, had not many time to play (again because of study ^^ ) so i think im a lil bit frustrated.
By the way, thx for all your answers and gl for this new year beginning !

The reason why you blocked your acount real makes us think you are a bit addicted. I never did so and never though in doing it. When i cant, i just don play, nothing more. How old are you? That must have a cure, i am sure kidding, if you are conscious enough to understand it could be bad to you at this phase, you did the right thing congratulations for your responsible atitude!

never have blocked an account and probably never will. Seems like you can't take your hands off poker even if you can't afford to play. Just control yourself man
