Position:Early Game:No Limit Hold'em Pot Size:3000 Blinds:200/400 Your Stack:10,500 Your Cards: Q J
QUESTION:
You're in early position and limp into the pot holding Qd-Jd. A loose player in late position raises to 1,200 and the big blind calls. With 3,000 already in the pot, it would cost you 800 more to see the flop.

I think you maybe shouldn't have limp... but well, at this point, if u limp and get reraise, you have a good odd with the 800 : you can hit a straight or flush = jackpot. Maybe that a jack or a queen or good enough, but there it becomes harder to play. U hit top pair, just test your game by a 2/5 of the pot bet or something like that...

I agree with the majority above. Do not limp in early position with QJ, it's asking for trouble. But you've clearly copied this question from somewhere. Maybe it's part of some test. In which case the question sucks cos no respectable player should be in this position but the answer is definitely call. You have the odds to call and hope to hit a monster but most of the time you have to fold on the flop. You can't raise even if you know the raiser is loose cos he might call with KQ or AJ. He might also push with A9 and you don't want to get into a race if you don't have to. You also have to consider the big blind could call with a wide range of hands too.
if you are already in that pot, and with your stack, you should at least see what the flop brings. You can afford it and your cards are not that bad. Go for it and see the flop !

I would most definitely call this one, and hope that there is something useful in the flop, if someone raises on the flop and there is no nuts draw for you then fold.

I call that s**t
He mean he don't limp with that cards before the action... he fold it. So he don't need to think what to do after some loose player raise. I would fold it either and not limping. But if i would be so drunked to limp the next thing u can do is ofc a call.
It's a clear call for me. I agree with people who thought that it's not a good idea limping here. Indeed, limping in early position may say i have a monster but, if after raise you don't go all-in, you don't have any monster. So ... your hand are clear: Ace-sth, High-cards, lower-pair or suited-connected.
