How aggressive are you guys with top pair??  0
How aggressive are you with top pair with (weak, medium, strong) kicker throwing all other things aside. Position, stack size, opponent type, lunar position whatever...If you just came to a table and were flopped top pair with each type of kicker what would you do if someone bet into you pot size after the flop. Even if the pot was raised pre flop. If what I have read and from what I have experienced is true a majority of our profits come from TP or top two pair so do you give up on it? Or do you raise and try to force a showdown?
I know it also depends on the TYPE of flop, lets say it was rags one high card, YOUR high card. Smile

insta fold, gotta hit at least quads on the flop if you wanna play

This but if a guy goes over the top of my flop bet and puts me all in, I definitely could argue folding quads with a rag kicker. It depends on the opponent though.

fold, fold ,fold. raised pot, so usually youre against set or atleast overpair, and those few times you get the fish with same pair and lower kicker, dont pay the bills

Are you playing your A - rags? I wish people didn't watch so much poker shows on tv because it ruins there game. The pros play a certain way because they are pros and can do that s**t and there is no need to go into discussion about it. But especially in cash games, I see so many people play A x from any position and end up losing more than winning. Sure you may have top pair on the flop with your rag but that spells trouble. But most importantly you have to look at who raised the pot, does the person raising the hand raise almost every pot, etc.? Do they c - bet every hand they raise????? Do they have a higher pocket pair than your card???

It depends on position.... if others players check i bet with every kicker just to know where i am at...
On turn i can check behing to make the pot small (with low and middle kickers) cause i don't want to make big pots with kickers like that. The only diffrence if when i got second pair ofc... then normal bets...
With higher kicker = ABC play.

Depends on a lot of things. How high is the top pair? (9s can be top pair on a low flop) What worse hands are possible, that opponent may play? Can opponent play a draw that way?

i think you can't make a decision keeping other things aside as they are more important than your cards. but if you have just come to a table then folding is a good option unless you/ ur opponent are short stacked

Wow! This one depends on so many factors, not the least is the read you have on the other players. With high top pair (J-A) with strong kicker you should be leading the betting, the weaker your kicker the more you need your hand to improve to something like 2 pair or better. Mid-top pair (7-T) with strong kicker again lead but be wary of people calling, they might have something like JJ. With weaker kicker be very wary of anyone who calls your bets. Top pair with low cards and strong OR weak kicker I like to play very cautiously, the chances of any overpair are very strong and you probably need to improve to take it down. Good Luck!

Hi!!

A strong TP + good kicker (j+) means high aggressive. Others TP or bad kickers means a play less aggressive. Of course, depending the kind of player you are against.

Bye and TPTK for all!!

Hello everybody!
It's very nice to have a top pair. It's even better with a good kicker. After aggressive or not really depends on the opponent after the position and of course what's happened before in the game and table.
See you soon for new posts! Smile

depending on the other players i usually go hard on them....and usually they drop out...but if there's a flush or straight draw and i see that some opponent raiss agresively i usually drp out...even if the kicker is an A Blink

Defo aggressive at least a pot size bet coming from my corner....
Might not if I have weak kicker or if multiway pot but otherwise its a pot bet to know where I stand in the pot.
ANy resistance and I'll norm give it up unless I have an improving hand and its still cheap enougth
