Dont be fooled by what you see on TV. They cut it so you only get to see the best bits so when AA go's down to 22 you'll see that but when they all fold and theres no action for hand after hand you wont see that as that is boring yeah! Poker on TV is entertainment thats all dont go getting any ideas.

I disagree. It's true that they only emit the most interesting hands but, even in such hands, you can learn a lot of poker from professionals. I also would like to watch every hand but I suppose it should be so boring for other people ...

Watched the first episode of the new 6th season, the game is cut to be entertaining for the viewer, but i didn't like that there is only one commentator.

I think Gabe is the best commentator ever been . It felt to me a little strange also in the beginning that Kaplan is alone there and AJ is gone - they were awesome together.
winwindinAbout poker learnings on TV - unless you play high stakes onlline, dont copy paste their patterns to your playstyle - low limit poker players are not all that smart to think as pros do - thatswhy you see so many stupid and heroic plays in lower stakes

On the other hand I completely agree, though I do like HSP for the fun of it. You can't really learn much from the broadcast hands, since they are the "interesting" ones, and most hands you'll ever play won't be "interesting" in that sense If you want to see some real, boring, poker, watch the full WPT broadcasts. That can give you an idea of pro tournamnet play
