AT THE NEAR END OF A TOURNAMENT WHEN YOU HAVE HAD NO CARDS FOR A HOUR AND YOUR GETTING SHORT STACKED AND THE ONLY THING LEFT TO DO IS SHOVE ALL IN ON CRAP CARDS IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE A JACK ASS SIT THERE FOR 3 HOURS AND THEN YOUR ALL IN WITH A10 THEN YOU GET CALLED BY AA KK AKS AS SOON AS YOU SEE THE CARDS YOU KHOW YOUR STUFFED, BUT TOURNAMENTS ARE MORE LUCK KHOW THAN ORTHER GAMES,
Welcome to forum. Why do you post in upper case? It's difficult to read and in every forum rules that's like you were shouting. Personally I recommend you change your writing style, imho.

I dont know about you but I find a more agressive approach in the mid-late stages helps with avoiding this situation as most ppl are into chip concservation mode and only call with monsters. so yeah you may lose your 3-4xbb raise every now and then but in the whole you get more chips than you lose, Luck is only more prevalent in a tourney in the KO stages as one bad hit and your gone without a chance of recovery unlike in cash games or the early R+A stages of some tourneys. if you find yourself shortstacked and forced to play in the majority of your late stage tourney games you may want to adjust your mid/mid-late strategy to take advantage of your regular opponents styles.

What you do in your time it's not my problem. If you decide to contribute in this community, I suppose to accept "social and standard rules", like don't post in upper case. I agree with doomdy, try again boy, maybe next time you are not so slept to check if caps are on.

Hmm. i like tournament.Look is easy.When you have not enought chips after 2 hours in game you are dead.The blind killing you.So I always try to win enough chips in 2 hours.If not going make all in when you have better than 66 or any good combination.Need luck.That is poker.

I have similar problems. I play sngs and often I become a big stack quite quickly but for some reason everyone always catches up with me very quickly and before I know it I'm short stack as we come to the payouts. I think I play quite well as a shortstack and often make a great comeback but there is so much variance at that stage. Big stacks will call an all in from a small stack with just about anything and even if you're favourite every time doubling up three times is still not in your favour. I agree that it pays to loosen up in the mid-late stages if you're still a decent-sized stack rather than let those blinds sneak up on you but I find also that I can call away my stack too much. I often let the pot get too big when I'm playing against a slightly smaller stack; he catches his draw against my two pair and I'm left a shortstack in the final stages.
