hi guys i a man utd fan. I watch rooney play every week, and i beleive he is the best player in the world. He as pace, skill ,vision and is the complet striker. Not only does he attack he defends as well. Against ac milan he made them look like a division 2 team. I know its gonna be between messi rooney and ronaldo. I think ronaldo is a bit greedy so i think it between messi and rooney
My god ... haven't you seen Messi? He is God. Rooney is having a good time but it's no so regular. If Messi go on playing like that he will be shortly the best player of the History, I'm sure

Ronaldo is greedy but you guys were not moaning when he was smacking them in all over the place for a few seasons. Ronaldo is still better than rooney. It's between Ronaldo Messi and Kaka. A few seasons ago I would have said Kaka but Messi is really starting to deliver again.

I like how he plays rooney is not the typical English player, he has more blood and temperament. to be the number one year, we achieved with a league championship, but to be one of the greats of history, you need to prove in a World Cup. and I think this year the English and Spanish have the opportunity to not have long to be protagonists.

LMAO....lol thats soooo funny Is rooney the greatest player to grace the game at the moment... well thats very debatable. But as every one has mentioned above he is in great form, thats for sure. He's knocking them in with ease at the moment but who is to say his form willl continue? Now lets get this straight i'm no avid foot fan and have never claimed to be but I am a huge England fan and i can honestly say I am very excited about the World cup this year and I am very eager to see just how Rooney (and the others) get on. If Rooneys form was to continue and England do well in the World cup then Rooney will inevitably score some goals, then I'm sure he will be in the ring for Player Of The Year.

with due respect wayne rooney as been consistant for 3 years he was playing out of position before. He has proved himself for englan., And to say u need to prove yourself in a world cup, neuther ronaldo nor messi have. Rooney plays good in big games as ronaldo bottles it
I'm awefully sorry to have to inform You that the best player is Marcel Maltritz from VFL Bochum The players discussed above are only able to score cause they dont have to play against him....
