Poker tracker would be incredibly valuable at a rush poker table. More so than at a normal table imo. I have always wanted to sign up for an account but that software aint exactly cheap.

And i definatly am cheap Big Smile

Actually HUDs are pretty much useless on the rush poker tables and i always switch mine off.... but then again i dont really play rush any more, i run horrible compared to the regular 6 max tables where reads make the real Dollar Dollar

i really start to change my opinion on rush poker, my first try was horrible: guys were hitting gutshots all the time, i lost with AA vs KK and with AK vs AJ (preflop all-ins), i flopped two mid-sets and ran into topsets and two guys hit their two outs on the river. all that in one hour without winning a single showdown.
yesterday it was completely different, i made my first straightflush (won two stacks with it), had quads (two more stacks) and when i was favorite i won almost all hands, except for a splitpot and a hand against a a guy with 12bb left. didn't only get my losses back, i'm 3 stacks up now in 3 hours of playing, not bad when you consider i had the worst possible start

This is normal in poker. Sometimes you think you're the worst player ever and (if youre any good) most of the time you think you're on fire because, well, you are.

I hate that system Angry You cannot read any player at all! Only playing with your two cards and folding to folding until you have a monster. Puajjj!

Yeah, thats the problem i see, you stop playing your opponents and start playing your hands. all you do is waiting for a monster, like all the others do... and than you find out which monster was better

So it becomes all about math, I don't see the problem. You can make money with waiting for monsters on the lower limits but not much and only when other players make mistakes (normal and rush poker), that's not poker, I am not a robot!

I agree that this is an issue they should sort out. The current system isn't fair. I don't know how they would correct it but maybe the small blinds should be controlled as well as the big blinds instead of whoever is randomly sat next to the dealer. three small blinds should count as posting a big blind or something.

I read on another forum about this issue: people there said after having tracked their rushpoker sessions they found out that blinds payment system was almost fair.
I suggest to do this try Blink

I think we need to account for the fact that Rush is a completely different game. If you play rush nlhe, you simoply are NOT playing nlhe. Same goes for Omaha and such,
i like the metagame rush rather than the game itself: the rate at which points accumulate is heaven for rakebackers

i think its a good way to bring in an bonus, but dont think i would play it otherwise, maybe if im boored and just want to gamble a bit =) i think it takes away all the skills u cant really pick up any tells on the other players so then u hafto play ur own cards moore than at least what i do normally..

It´s good but not great; I voted cause I have made some nice profit out of it but I dunno... It´s still little mysterios to me. I still prefer old good normal NLH Ring Games Heart

Hi guys.

I think Rush is a great thing!! For people like me that can´t play poker hours and hours, Rush poker is the way to easily have Iron Status and play around 900, or more, hands/hour. Great too for bonuses.

Bye!!

In another thread I compared playing rushpoker to eating in a fastfood, today I fell the ispiration for another similitude: normal poker stay at rush poker just like having sex with your partner stay at selfmade sex Smile
cause when you play normal game you have to pay attention to oppos, they are almost always the same
in rush poker you can only imagine who your oppos are Big Smile Big Smile

and i have to say it gave me a bit of addiction ....at least until I busted out all my roll Big Smile Big Smile

rush poker is great, you play very fast and can fold trash hands... but there is very big minus...the BLINDS... they eating you very fast if cant get monster starting hands, you need to bluff a lot. another bad thing i think is, that you waiting monster hands, so as other... if you have KK, there is big % that one of 8 players will have AA...i lost like this 5 times in a row with this situation, and it costed to me very much Dollar

i love the combination of rushpoker and the take2 promo, you can get 25$ if you earn 5ftps per day for 9 days, so only 45 ftps if you play the minnimum. and with rushpoker you earn these 5 points in a few minutes even on NL10 (doubled points during the promo). thats really good rakeback!
at the moment most of my bankroll is on partypoker because i got a bonus there, but while i wait for free seats there i play rushpoker now, no waitinglists + bonus= best way to spend these boring minutes until you have found enough normal tables

If you have not seen it before rush poker takes you to a new table anytime you fold. You can youtube it to see it in action

I have been playing rush poker and i wanted to know what everyone elses opinions on it.

I have mixed feelings about it.

Pros:

Hands per hour. You can average at 400 hands an hour easily. I usually average at about 50 hands an hour. I will often multi table so i am sitting at 4 seats. even compared to multi tabling.

Attention required. When i multi table i will often find myself feeling flustered at times. If i have a weak top pair, a flush draw, a straight draw and air on different tables and im playing against a fish a rock a LAG and someone i have no read on i can often find myself making the wrong moves. This is an extreme example but it does happen infrequently.

Cons:

Lack of continuity. Some players would say you cant get a read on online poker. I would have to disagree. Once i have sat at the same table for 30 minutes with a player i usually feel somewhat comfortable zoning in on his particular play style. Some players will bet small on a bluff because they dont want to risk much, while others will bet small with the absolute nuts because they are desperate to be paid off. Figuring which is which makes a big difference.

Fun. I like to watch what happens in hands im not playing. Its nice to see all ins play out and see players make impressive moves and horrible blunders. Because you are moved tables so quickly you dont get to see any showdowns besides the hands you are in. I am interested to know when i fold my flush draw but would of hit or when my underpair would of made a set on the turn. Poker rush to me feels a lot less fun than your average game of poker.

I am currently undecided about which side of the fence I stand on. I have great respect for the minds who invented it, and it certainly is the best way to turn over hands per hour but i dont know if the pluses make up for some very large cons imo.

If you havent played on a rush poker table i highly recommend you do. Its something that every online poker player should experience at least once.

rush poker is for massive turbo lovers and players with no patience if you ask me
