Just a small 'brag' story... Good great cards, I admit.
I usually play ony 2 tables at the same time, an important (for me) tourney, and either a less important one or a S&G. This weekend was different...
I signed up for 4 tourneys on Saturday without realizing I had done that. They all started within about 1 hour of each other.
By the time all were running, I was going NUTS! I cascade tables (small monitor), and I just couldn't keep up sometimes.
Tourneys: Noble - $100 freeroll - 105 players I made the final table but decided to dump that one because I cared the least for this one. Went out with AQ thinking I was probably beat (AK), and ended 10th. Result $2
Party - $1.500 freeroll - 5.500 players Was also not important, because the prize money was low and mostly at the final table. Dumped that one too at the end because it wasn't worth it either. Ended 139th - $2
Full Tilt - $200 freeroll Was in first place after 20 min with a HUGE lead (about 4x chips of #2), and stayed in first most of the tourney. I couldn't pay attention enough to take advantage of my huge stack, and slowly but surely lost most of it in the last 30 min. of play. 4 tables is too much for me, and by the time I dumped the other tourneys, I was 11th or something. All-in and donked out at 16th. Too bad, because first prize was $46 and I won only $2
Last one: Party 2.500 newbie freeroll, had qualified for that one in the week (not easy), and first 200 in this one get a seat to an amazing $10.000 one at the end of the month. I really wanted that. This one was REAL important to me because the final monthly tourney pays out 500 places out of 800 players! wow! Result: 9th out of 1.025 players. YES!
THEN yesterday (Sunday): I had the BRM WSOP freeroll and a Bwin tourney for a live event in Antwerp beginning of May. I finished top 3 in BRM's tourney and won my WSOP final seat. I ended up 1st (out of 62) on Bwin, to win my seat in the live tourney.
Wow! Had a great run of cards when I needed them, but am still pretty proud of what I achieved. Too bad about the BRM freeroll, I just couldn't pay enough attention to the table, and realised (again) that 4 tables is too much for me. (I could have used the 1st place cash) I think a large monitor would help, but that will have to wait for my bankroll to grow.
Anyway, just talk... had to get it out of my system. Thanks for listening....

to play successfully you will have to learn to play min 4 tables, 6 to 8 and you are jamming. I suggest you start by practicing playing 3 tables low level cash, then move up to 4, also tile the windows, cascading works for some but not all, work with smaller windows.

Hi IslandJack!
Play in a high number of tables is one thing you must do later or sooner. Try with 3 until you think you play as you usually do. Next try with 4, etc..

I really don't like those 4 colour decks when yoy make the tables really small. I prefer the "classic" card deck. That's the main reason I don't want to make the tables too small. Maybe it's a question of getting used to them? I don't really know.... Do you all play with those 4 colour cards?

No, i play 2-6 tables at the same time, and i use normal cards. I've always hated those colored cards.

Very nice results Jack, esp Antwerp live & brm wsop final ! About multitabling - sooner or later you will have to learn it - believe - playing only 1 table will not satisfie you enough soon . Ive played up to 12 tables in fulltilt (3 matrix sngs).
congratz man I only play 2 tables, sometimes three but then the third is in start of tourney and ultra tight. Have tried four sngs but that's not for me at the moment GL further on

I was sat with you for a fair while @FT and can agree you did donk out, that stack would have seen final table all day long. 16-17k If I remember. For what its worth, you didnt need to play, not long after ITM you took a few big hits that you could have walked from and garenteed final table. I was thinking you was on for a 1st place, but them last few hands you played were not nice. Not saying you played bad in anyway (i cant remember the hands, multi tables myself) but you was in for more than $2.

great reaults dude. well done Keep this up and you'll turn pro in no time.... In tournys like this results are king not $$$ Its great experiance and winning a few multi seat tournys will / can be great for your game. It gives you a confidence boost for sure. but hold on to your hat. get very consistent befor sliding up the stakes.

Anyway congrats..
Glad somebody noticed I screwed up bad! 17.000+ chips and I kind of put that game at the back of my mind. Made a really stupid move because buzzers were going and lost almost half the stack...the beginning of the end... If I'd only been playing 2 tables I would have used the stack to dominate, but I just couldn't do it. The 2.500k tourney was too important.
I really need to learn to table at least 4, so it's probably going to cost me a couple more tourneys before I get the hang of it, that's clear.
Anyway, thanks for the comments everyone, I appreciate it!
