well the guy had a long run...in fact I doubt anyone but him will have such a good run. He had a very sporty and active lifestyle until that accident hit him, I guess that put a few years for him

I don't know if it is that bad? If he has been gamlbling hard for almost 60 years, it can't really come as a surprise that he is sort of addicted in the end.
But, hey, he has made a good living out of it, so I don't really see the problem here. (That's my self beeing a degenerate in all sorts of ways...)
